Video of my all stock except muffler V6 - just for you guys who are curious...
http://youtube.com/watch?v=DMZG7kRhEcY
I know alot of people want to know what their car would sound like what way and all that, and there sure isn't alot of V6 stuff on the exhaust boards, even though we all know why
So here is a video of my 2.8 V6 Bird. Everything is stock except for the muffler, which is a Flowtech Afterburner - I went the cheap route. It's been on the car for maybe a year, so its well broken in.
I like it for a V6. It's got a very consistent tone, and hits that hummmm spot around 2100 RPM.
In the video, the highest I hit is 2300 RPM - the neighbors were outside listenin to the football game and I'm one of the younger ones on my street (18)...so you know how that goes...
I took the video with a camera phone, so when the RPMs jumped, it didn't catch the sound too well, it sounds funny when I press on it until it stops climbing...but its the best I could do. Not horrible.

Sounds like a tractor starting up or a riding lawn mower with hole in the exhaust. Ditch that muffler.

Thanks the replies.
The pipes aren't even in the greatest shape,
theres a pretty nice leak where the manifolds and y pipe connect
and a nice dent right before the cat
and some of the welds have some small holes in them near the cat
so it's far from perfect
but for a cheap muffler from Advanced Auto Parts, I think it sounds allright.
To each his own.
