Dual exhaust over the axle INSTALLED! pics and video inside
Got my car back from the exhaust shop. Dual 2.5" mandrel bent over the axle into two flowmaster super 44's.
overall im fairly happy with it, except for the ground clearance, im sure they could have done a better job at that, im going to take it back to them sometime soon to have them re-do the part right before the cats, looks like they can get in up in there another 2 inches, maybe 3 inches, also going to have them move both pipes that are by the rear end more outward away from the rear end nose, because how they sit now, i cannot lift the car anywhere but the rear end otherwise it will hit the pipes, so if i was to be driving and my rear end came high enough, the nose would take out the exhaust, also by moving them over i would not lose any ground clearance, so i dont know why they didnt do that in the first place.
well here is a video of the car running without the cats, im currently tuning it, so im having trouble keeping the idle steady.
here are some pictures. ENJOY!

looks very nice....i was thinking of doing something like that, but instead of an exhaust shop doing it,, just buying dynomax two dynomax 2.5 intermediate pipes connected to my cats and get a universal tailpipe/mandrel bent 90* pipe to connect to the second muffler.

think if i did it i would request the oval shaped tube. that would help the ground clearance which seems not so great. But all together AWESOME setup? prices please!

yes they did do a good job, but i just dont like the fact that the rear end could take the exhaust out... its seriously about 3 inches from it, not much room for street driving, and plus if i ever need to do any work that requires the rear to hang, i would have to remove the exhaust, and the way that it is ran, would require me to cut it cause there are no flanges after the cats.
and as for the y-pipe.... the stock exhaust wasn't as low as it is right now, so im sure they can fix that, just by me driving the car off the trailer it already smashed a portion of the outside cat. my main concern about that is speed bumps, when i come down off of one, the bump is going to be right where the cats are, and i know its going to hit them, even if i go extremely slow
its got lifetime warranty, and i paid $680 after taxes, and thats with me supplying the mufflers, converters, flanges, gaskets. so basically tubing and labor only. they had my car for a total of 3 days.
also forgot to mention that they put my car up on their website. link is below, but they titled it as a 1993 camaro, not a 1991. i'll notify them when i take my car back in. its the last 3 pictures

i JUST picked up, as in got home 2 hrs ago, that SAME EXACT system except it came w/ brand new in the box w/ gaskets and bolts coated hedman longtubes and the pipes run off the headers past the trans instead of in the stock location for cats, w/ 2 spintech proshoot out mufflers w/ chrome tips for 175 bucks! i hope it sounds as good as yours, that sounds great! i forgot if you said what mufflers your running....

QuickStyle ,
That's some serious snaking you have there.
That shop definitely knows how to bend pipe.
Other than the clearance it looks great.
That pipe looks huge for 2.5in. and looks fatter than my 3in. at least in the photos it does.

I have mine running the same way over the axle with about 2-3 inches of clearance and the rear hasn't touched

I have the Mufflex 4 inch single over the axle with a spintech dual outlet muffler. Definitely something to consider, I love it. Ground clearance is not an issue, I also use Hooker Super Comp long tube headers.
