No you have to cut them off and then weld up the primary tubes.

The Hooker headers without AIR are the part number 2460's, but they do not come with a y-pipe. And the y-pipe for the 2460's is not as good of a design as the one that comes with the 2055's. So its your choice. And remember, removing the AIR tubes on a street car is a violation of federal law, regardless whether or not your state does testing.

I'd stick with the 2055's or send an email or PM to Dyno Don and get his 1 3/4" headers.

Not exactly. They're both shorties, and both made by Hooker, but they aren't the same headers. Different flange, different collector, different collector connection, different gauge tubes, etc.

are the air tubes on the 2055's where your o2 sensor goes and if thats not what they're for what are they for?. I'm really considering this set.

A.I.R. is a system that injects air into the headers and cat to lower the emissions level if I understand correct

Look in the pic above! The air tubes are on top of the primary tube, the o2 on the collector.

I wouldn't wait to long..I just tried to order a set of 2055's and the speed shop told me their distributor can't get any hooker headers...they might be going the way of crane cams...

Yes. Dyno Don offers his (the SAME headers), both with or without the AIR tubes on them. The AIR tubes are simply an option on his headers.

Oh i already got the hookers so no worry there (should get them on the car monday!!). I was stating i might need to upgrade to dyno dons in the far future. I hope hooker doesn't go under, isn't holley the "same" company as hooker?
