Long tube Header Help
I just got some Headman Long tube headers and with my car finally running they sound great. But how am i supposed to put an exhaust on after that. Every muffler shop says its to low to run a y pipe under the trans. And i also have two cut outs i want to install. What do I do.

Re: Long tube Header Help
You have a T5 so the collector should be right in the way of your slave cylinder. You'll have to have something custom done to get around the slave cylinder. You can cut off the collector and extend it, and then dimple the extension to clear it - that's probably the most elegant solution I've seen. Beyond that you'll be able to run the exhaust above the trans crossmember if you're clever and have good motor mounts that will allow for the tight clearances that will result, but most likely you'll be at the whims of some exhaust shop and they'll just run it under the trans - much easier that way, but way worse ground clearance. And that's IF you find a shop to run you a custom exhaust. A factory style catback is no longer an option.

There is a Sticky above this Thread by Traxion

There are many pictures there...
It's really not that difficult... the shop just has to take their time.
I had a shop build me one and it was pure crap... Power robbing Pinched bends everywhere!
So I built my own Y-pipe... All Mandrel bent 3" Y-Pipe. Into a 3" Flowmaster Catback system.
