Re: LT Headers to 3" single exhaust
It's a Magnaflow 2 x 2.5" into single 3" merge collector.
I've got a part number I'll post later.
Here's a look at the finished product.

Re: LT Headers to 3" single exhaust
I can't take the credit for this work.
The guys name is Tom Britton. He runs a business called Altered Images. It used to be the installation division of Performance Improvements (like Jegs or Summit)
He's a master. Plain and simple. Does lots of Nostalgia gassers. Full tube chassis', suspension, etc.
I've got a couple more pics.

Re: LT Headers to 3" single exhaust
he probably just used mandrel bent pieces.
looks great, btw. A flowmaster merge pipe has a little smoother transition, just as a point of reference if anyone else is wanting to do this.

It's all slice and dice after that.

Re: LT Headers to 3" single exhaust
very nice, i'll post up pics of my setup soon as i get it done but its pretty similar to yours. BUT i'm using spohn crossmember so i ran the pipes abit wider around that, and i'm using regular aluminized pipe and mig welded and its not the prettiest welds but it works

Do you have any pictures of that Spohn crossmember? I was thinking of fabricating my own by cutting and channeling an original.

Re: LT Headers to 3" single exhaust
Here's a couple.
My driveway has quite a bit of crown to it so there's even more clearence.
Doesn't give me a problem at all even fully loaded with a couple of passengers , two sets of golf clubs and 100 lbs in car parts. ( I was shopping at Jeg's and Summit)

Re: LT Headers to 3" single exhaust
I will say one thing for sure. There's no comparison between a run of the mill short tube header system (this dosren't include Dyno Don's headers) and a LT header with a decently designed 2 into 1. It's not duals (yet) but the difference is amazing.
I intend to pursue the resonator box however for now, I'm looking for my first 12 second time slip.

Re: LT Headers to 3" single exhaust
Yes. I reduced the collector to 2.5" at the header. With less than 400 hp , 2 x 2.5" has more than enough capacity. I also like the tuning range of the smaller collector.
