well im going for a sin full look with my camaro i would like to black out 1/2 of my headlights with a type of plastic i have it would go on a slant look to make a cool look what do you think.would you make a piece or spray it with paint

my personal feelings are dont cover or blackout any of the lights, but that is my opinion. also i dont really understand what you mean by go on a slant, do you mean like following the bumper if you looked at it from the side? or slant when viewed from the front?

Perhaps if he started with the clear version of what I posted, and then painted it in the slant he wants, he might create his desired effect.

i would also have to agree, it looks kinda off with a just a peice like that, but thats just me, it is your car man if you like it thats what counts its all about personal taste.

You know, he could just cut one of those peices and glue it to the inside of one of those clear covers. That would create a better blackout effect on that section.

Would your high-beams still function with that? Pretty sure if a cop felt like being a d**k he could write you a ticket for that. I think it would look better if it was a bit more subtle. Instead of the plastic peice going down as far on the center, maybe raise it up a bit. It would change the ratio of people who wonder what that is to people who think it looks mean in a better way.

well i though going shorter on it too so it did'nt cover as much and cuting them into two pieces to kind over lap both light insted of shoting right across.

Once you get it right, any clear or black adhesive should do the trick.

I tossed around the idea of trying to make something like this. IMHO, your angle is WAY too steep. Try something more suttle. remember, less is more.

I tried some photoshops to make it look good. I Used STEEL's car.
I think a seperate "brow" on each light looks better than one big one covering both.





Not a fan of it myself, but I hope this helps ya.

i was thinking about a similiar concept myself, but figured on something more complex like using those tiny oldsmobile headlights for the high beams and then making the slanted-in covers, built off the hood or nose.
