Cup holders with LED's
I've seen quite a few custom cup holders posted. Only recently did I get around to installing some I made myself. It replaces the ash tray.
Made from Plexiglas which I cut using a CNC mill I had access to.
The lighting was pretty simple too, I just ran wires under the center console to the light bulb that lights up the shifter.
Glued together using a sort of chemical that melts the plastic together, to form a nearly seamless seal.

Cool idea, but IMHO, bad location.
Drinks would be in the way of accessing the radio controls & you can pretty much forget about ejecting a CD or inserting a one.
And it looks like anything bigger than a 16 ounce can wouldn't fit. Like a Sonic cup. The upper wider portion of those would be resting against the radio & cause it not to fit without tilting badly.

As for what fits, and what doesn't, its sort of a gamble. Any sort of can will fit, and sometimes fast food drinks will fit. I like your honesty.

Re: Cup holders with LED's
any body out there with the firebird console do something like this? i have seen a lot of nice cupholders for the camaro, and wish my shift plate (s) made it more possible to do it to make it look flush.

Re: Cup holders with LED's
I've not seen many cup holders for firebirds. I'm sure someone's made a set that look nice
