1982 Trans Am all original 68k in SE MI 48045 for trade or sale

I have a 1982 trans am. 305 Crossfire injected 3 speed auto. This car is all original, leather interior, AC, cruise (but missing canister) the rear wiper (missing the blade) It has a wiped cam lobe, I already bought the new lifter, and the intake is off as well as some other parts. The crossfire works great, the car ran perfectly sound before the cam problem. It has 68k original miles, and the body is almost rust-free, the most rust is around the t-tops where they are leaking. It comes with many extra parts. I really am tired of doing extensive car work for right now and I will trade this trans am for any f-body that runs good, and has a v8 and t-tops. I just don't want to work on it any more. I will also take $800 cash, but would rather trade to get another f-body. I am willing to do a little work or maintanence on a car but no major repairs please, however I am considering ALL offers of vehicles so just post what you have. I would prefer a later 80s-90s model, but any offer is considered, if anyone is interested PM me or post here and I will get pictures up. The car is totally in black primer right now, and is great for a restoration but with a new cam would be a running drivable car. When it did run it drove and shifted extremely well, like a new car. Just let me know whatever offers there might be. Thank you!

The ground effects. W62 is the RPO code. You could not get ground effects in 1982. Only in 1983 on the DT500 pace car replicas, and 1984 Trans Ams. Also, the Cross-fire 305 was not an "HO". The only thirdgen engine to carry the HO name was the 1983-1986 L69 305.

Ah I see, I have the ground effects that aren't on the car, theyre still gold colored, I did not know they didnt come with ground effects, that must be why the holes are missing for them :P

I read somewhere that the crossfire engines were HO, but thanks for correcting me, I was starting to doubt it myself.

There is a 350 TBI complete (but heads and intake are off) in my area for $175, I was thinking it might be a good investment if I felt like taking the time to do an engine swap. That is pretty cheap for a 350 especially complete.

I will update the ad accordingly, thanks for the help

Car: Prayin for a 3rd gen!
Hey there! I actually called you before, and we played voicemail tag for a while lol....I never got a call back or anything from ya, I figured you sold the car. But if you remember me my name is mike, I go to the H.S. down your street lol.

Would you be at all interested in a trade or partial trade for my 1991 mustang lx 4cyl? the body is a little rough, but it runs good and has an awesome interior.

Let me know if your interested, and I will get some pics together

wow, when did you call me? 0I never got any replies about it at all. I kind of forgot about this thread, and I tried to delete it but I couldn't find any controls, I don't think I have the authority to, so I was hoping it would just make it's way to the bottom lol. It went by too long and I just ended up finally getting my *** up and putting in a new cam and i've been driving it for the past few days, and continueing to tune it up. I didn't know there were more thirdgen people around here lol. Everyone is always so far away. I am still interested in a trade but for another f-body with a 5 speed, v8, and t-tops
If I was still going for gas mileage a mustang would be cool with a 4 cylinder, but only with a manual and something fun like convertible
Sorry to disappoint if I did. The trans am is starting to really grow on me, I just have a lot of work to do to it, so far this crossfire isn't that great, but it needs love. I just put in a higher powered fuel pump and it really woke it up under harder driving conditions. If you want you can AIM me, we can talk more, I'm curious, I never got any messages on my machine except empty satic lately. But those had to come from somewhere! How often have you called? My name is mike too, and I went to that high school!

It was maybe a month ago I called you, but It was a guy named carl on the voicemail lol, but i called maybe about 2-3 times. Thats good to hear the car has grown on you, she's real pretty and has got some potential. No big deal I can understand how you want to keep it. But yea there are a few thirdgeners in the area, shoot there are about 3 or 4 at the school alone. my AIM s/n is lwclsswhitetrash, its would be cool to chat with another fan in the area

ohhhhhhhh, haha, carl was the guy I bought it from, it was for sale down on south river road by the party store! yeah, that clears up some confusion. yeah my aim name is the same as on here, ill add you. I have now put just a few more little things into it and its amazingly fast now, a fuel filter (didnt even have one), removed and straight piped the cat, i think it was clogged, because after that things just started going way uphill, like it woke up from it's sleep, it sounds like a dragon from hell now

i even got the windshield replaced!! i will keep my eyes peeled for more third gens around for sale.
