SWEEEET 1985 T-top Trans Am for sale!!! Black! Power options! 5 speed !!!SOLD!!!
SOLD.
In central eastern PA. $1,500 OBO. I'd like to sell quickly. Need cash for other, more important matters.
1985 Trans Am. The one in my sig that I've been bugging you all about now for a couple weeks. I don't have the money to diagnose/repair the motor, so the car is for sale. Will make an awesome hot rod.
Engine is a 350ci from a 1969 Impala. "supposedly" bored 060 over....Keith Black flat top pistons...hydraulic cam/lifters....Edelbrock performer intake and 4 barrel carb.
Trans and rear are from a Chevy Iroc Z Camaro, again...so I'm told. Can't say first hand what the engine is bolted up to...since I don't know.
I know that it starts...runs...drives, and stops just fine. It knocks a bit...and it's a little shaky. Had it running for half an hour and oil pressure was a mere 10lbs at idle. Still jumps to 40-50 when given some throttle....seems fairly healthy.
All the power options work. Horn works...Lights work. Alarm system is a real fancy thing, with "tap lock". It's pretty bonkers...and it works too.
Body is straight. No rust issues that I've seen. Paint is shiny..but not a pro job...has a couple runs. Wheels are Iroc Z wheels.
I really wish I could keep it and thrash around town and terrify my neighbors with it....but it just isn't the right time for it. 2 years ago maybe...or 2 from now....
It's already on Vehix...and I'm going to put it in the local paper when I get around to it. Don't miss out!!!

thanks for the help, but I'm really looking for a GTA.I realize it seems a little crazy considering I have everything to make your car look like a GTA and I'm swapping a completely different engine, so it's not like the car I put together will be original.but if i bought an 85 then there's no way it could be a gta

Yea Its in pretty bad shape haha but im asking 1000 for it cause of parts, It has a lot of good parts on it and it needs a timing chain put on to run. If i can sell her for 1000 ill deff wanna see this TA. Do you know whats wrong with the TA?? is it drivable??
Re: SWEEEET 1985 T-top Trans Am for sale!!! Black! Power options! 5 speed!!!
haha, well good luck with the Bronco. If you had a pickup truck, I'd be more inclined to trade...oh well.
Anyway.
Yes, it's drive"able". Don't know how far I would trust it to go down the road...but I've taken it for a spin a couple blocks away and it's alright.
The belts are loose...so the steering is kinda queer...and it backfires...could be a timing issue...don't know. Still...even with whatever problems it has...you could still shred the tires, and it hauls *** down the road.
And the body and interior aren't in bad shape....so just some mechanical work on the motor and you'd have quite a hotrod. I just don't have the tools or equipment to fix it. like....an engine stand....crane...work bench....garage...
If I'm right about it being the crank or rod bearing...it can be EASILY fixed with a crank kit from Summit Racing for less than $300.
I have an email with the cam specs if you're serious about it.
