It wouldn't be the first time I flew half way across the country to buy a car and then drive it back. I can normally fly for free since I've got hookups with an airline. So that's not a huge issue either.
So yeah, if you get a chance, snap some photos of the interior and the engine bay and I'l seriously consider it.
ok, also if you wanna see all the work dont to it i can give you a link, it was painted in the spring be me and a friend (the friend is a professional body guy fyi)
i think most the pics are on my profile here tho too

Yeah shoot me the link. I'm very interested. It sounds like the "good deal" at a price I can afford/live with.
Yes it did. What was done on the rear quarter panel? Looks like some repair work.
it had a nice dinger, rather then cutting it out(dent wasnt that bad) we pounded it damn near perfectly flat and layed on a small amount of filler,
all products were 3m's ppg, and no short cuts were taken.
just thought id share with you everything i know

That's good to hear. I don't necessarily mind that filler was used, I just want to make sure that the job was done right, and it won't be a problem for me on down the road. I got rid of my thirdgen car once and I don't want to do that again. I plan on keeping the next one I buy forever. (Not necessarily realistic but it's a nice idea.)
t-tops, power locks windows, has rear defrost but wire needs to be repaired, power mirrors that only work some of the time :/. umm cant think of any other options, feel free to keep asking questions tho

That's good information. I just wanted to make sure it had power windows and locks as the very least. Problems with some of the features are things that I can fix relatively easily.
Whenever you get a chance, shoot some pics of the car's interior. I'd certainly appreciate it. I just want to know what I'm getting into from the start. These cars are money pits and if you aren't careful you can easily end up spending thousands more than you origianlly planned.
Now that I think about it, are the brakes, suspension etc in good shape? Bear in mind that I'd be driving this thing almost 1,200 miles just to get back home if I buy it.
alright i just uploaded 30+ more pics, brakes are pretty good, suspension is good to makes a lil squeaking up front when you come to a stop (5-0mph stoping) not if you are just slowing down tho, prolly just needs some grease on a bushing, i would trust the car to make it to texas no problem

and im 99 percent sure the defrost will work if the wire is fixed, should be a ten min job, and with the mirrows it just needs a switch, i know the motors are good

Do the T-Tops leak? What about the drivers side door? The seals/weather stripping look a bit messed up. What's the story there?
Also, why did you remove the wing and opt for the base Firebird style spoiler?
t tops leak a lil if its in a car wash, hasnt leaked in the rain for me, the door strippin looks bad but seems fine, i dont think its worth replacing them
and the car did have a wrap around spoiler that was a lil warped and they all hold up like **** so i figured for long term quality id go with a base on, personally i like it more
