Were the 16" gold wheels included in the IROC equipment RPO code (B4Z) for 86? Dad bought an early production 86 IROC/Z with the LG4, 700R4, and 85mph speedo with 56,000 miles on it, but no list of RPO codes we can find lists the 16" wheels as an option.
All IROCs from 85-87 had 16 inch alloy wheels standard. From 88-90 you could get an iroc with 15" wheels. As for color wheels, it all depends on what color decals the car has. If you ordered gold decals you got gold wheels (or visa versa not sure what direction it went). Sounds like a good looking car. Post up some pictures! I always like the gold wheels and decals on irocs.
These are the only pictures I have of it right now. My brother took them with his cell phone and he has no clue about taking pictures of cars. He's almost as bad as my girlfriend.
We had to replace the printed circuit board behind the gauges and replace the Q-Jet base and ported vacuum switch after he got it. The gauges would all stop working or peg out with the head lights on and the rear window defrost would come on. Traced it back to the printed circuit. Other than that and a pitiful job on the exhaust, it's a super clean ride. We've got a little more work to do to get it right. Anyone know where you get the tool to adjust the primary metering rod height through the top of the carb?
