Yet Another "What's Wrong With This Ebay Camaro" Thread
This Camaro is nicely equipped, but a couple things don't seem right about it. See if you can identify what it is:

Is that the correct grill? I am not too sure. I am more of a bird man.

Re: Yet Another "What's Wrong With This Ebay Camaro" Thread
Here's what I noticed:
- Wrong front spoiler
- Wrong grille
- No black headlight pockets
- No fog lights (despite having RPO T96 -- fog lights)
- Heritage stripes, but no Z03 option and no 25th Anniversary badge on the decklid
- No body side moldings (despite having RPO B84 -- body side moldings)

Re: Yet Another "What's Wrong With This Ebay Camaro" Thread
No passenger airbag or side airbags. Camaros in 1992 only got a driver's side airbag. Did the 25th ann. Z28 get the 1LE package because I didn't see it on the RPO codes.

Also in the craigslist ad it has a 5.7 + T-5 combo? They didn't make that combo available from the factory.

This is the second time it has been on Ebay. I emailed him last time it was on about the front spoiler and grill......he told me it was correct.
I am going to email him a link to this thread. I think he is a dealer.

Re: Yet Another "What's Wrong With This Ebay Camaro" Thread
Being an original G92/5-speed with factory CD player, it's actually a pretty nicely equipped car. Too bad it couldn't have been fixed better -- and the seller obviously doesn't seem to care about representing the car accurately.
I just noticed that the radio is sitting at an angle in the dash -- like the dash is hacked inside and the radio is loose and sagging. You can see this best in the picture from the side. Nice.

His reply
"THE CARS IDS MATCH THE TITLE MATCHES THE CAR FAX MATCHES THE BUILD SHEET MATCHES ITS A 1992 25 ANNIVERSARY 5.O TPI Z28 CAMARO SOME GUY SAID THE FRONT BUMPER IS WRONG IN 1992 RS AND Z28 HAVE THE SAME PART NUMBER FOR PLASTIC FRONT BUMPERS"
My reply back
"I am sure that it is a real Z28. But, at some point it has had the front end repaired with the wrong parts. The actual bumper is the same for the Z and the RS. The "Grill" is different. The RS grill is louvered like what is on your car; the Z grill is not really much of a grill at all and should have fog lights in it. The front ground effect/chin spoiler bolts to the bumper. Your car has a ground effect for a pre 91-92 car. There should be vents built into the sides of it, in front of the wheels. Study the pictures in this link it is pretty plain to see what I am talking about. Also your RPO codes show that the car did not come with the stripes. There should be a Z03 on the RPO sticker."

Re: Yet Another "What's Wrong With This Ebay Camaro" Thread
Also, if it WERE a Z03 Heritage Car (which we know its not)... it's missing the badge on the decklid (easiest way besides RPO codes to know if its a true Heritage) and also the emblems on the rear bumper would be wrong for a Heritage.
A White/Red Heritage should have RED Tuned Port Injection and Z28 badges in the back, regardless of what color accents the wheels have.
Just dropping some knowledge^^^ Even though i know its moot since the car isnt a Heritage to begin with...

Oh it does, does it? Where are the fog lights? Where are the body side moldings? Why does it have Z03 Heritage stripes? None of this matches the RPO sticker.
I hate liars...
And the bids keep getting higher...
FWIW, the dual-cat exhaust, 145 mph speedo, and "European" seats are all correct for this car. The G92 option with LB9 came with this exhaust and speedo. The seats are typical Custom Cloth Interior fare. This was originally a very nice Z28.

The thing is it wouldn't take much to make the car correct. It was probably just but back together by an incompetent body shop.

And for what it's worth, to be completely correct to the car, it's supposed to have 235/55/16s, not 245/50s. Just a point on completely stock, obviously he didn't want to spend the extra money for the slightly odder size. Never knew why they changed tire sizes, did the new offset of the wheels rub the wheel wells??

The car sold for $5,995 which is more than I would have paid for a rebuilt wreck with 85K. Oh well, hopefully the new owner is satisfied with it.

Re: Yet Another "What's Wrong With This Ebay Camaro" Thread
245-50R16 tires were used on ALL WS6 cars from 1985 & up...
Here is what I found... unfortunately it is for 1988+ CAMARO's
88 - 90 ALL 16" Wheels got 245/50R16 Tires
91 - 92 the 245/50R16's were an option, I too would assume that they should be standard with the G92... There would have been something else that triggered it however, because there were more tires than cars equipped with G92. almost twice the amount.

Touché, my mistake. Always willing to learn something new. I was starting to wonder because i've got 235s on my 92 and was wondering why it looks like wheel well marks cutting into the side of the tire.

Anyone remember the trunk pics thread? Didn't they say that after 91, our trunks came with carpeted sides instead of those plastic panels... or was that only for verts? If that was correct, this shouldn't have those?
EDIT: No, i think it's only verts. Mah bad!
