1991 Camaro 25th anniversary... not a typo.

I have a friend who's brother has a 1991 Camaro, and it has the 25th anniversary package: stripes, badges, the whole deal. However, car is in Alabama so i haven't had a chance to see it in person, but I also don't have a reason to doubt my friend's word or his brother's. They both know that the 25th anniversary was a 1992 option, but the car is a legitimate 1991. I'm thinking that the car was either a late built or a left-over 1991 that the dealer done up with the anniversary package to stimulate it's sale. Any ideas?

That's interesting. I just bought my 91 RS about a month ago, and it has the RS 25th anniversary logo on the dash. I just thought it was a replacement dash and/or logo, but now this makes me wonder.

Run the VIN on compnine, Z03 won't be there. Besides it's a sticker/stripe package, not like it really matters.

Another claim of a unicorn, with no RPO to back it up.

No, it doesn't matter, but its just interesting to look into. Like you said, it is just an appearance package. But if it is a 91 that the dealer badged up as a 25th, then it wouldn't have the RPO Z03 because it wasn't built with it. I'm not saying it's a unicorn, but it is a horse with a horn duct taped to its head. I also have a friend who has a 2007 sentra 2.0. In the maintenance records, it has documentation of an SER badge being replaced with a 2.0 badge. Does that mean he has an SER? No its just something to talk about and look into. I was just wondering about the possibility of such a car being built, by the factory or by a dealer.

Dealers would do all kinds of things, just like owners. Unless you find someone who was there when the stripes were applied it's anyone's guess. If it has the Z03 RPO and the same tag shows the vin as a 91, then it's unusual.
