500LE
My friend's got one sitting in his driveway I believe it to be a '83, but i'm not sure. The condition is absolutly terrible. But. What can anyone on here tell me about the 500LE's?

Re: 500LE
In 1984, ... consisted of the striping you see on the car, said 500LE on the door, had a bird at the front of the hood by the bumper, and one on each sail panel. Around the birds on the sail panel I think it said Pontiac Firebird 500 and on the bottom part, Limited Edition. This car was, from what I was told, one of three made in 1984 that were made before the run of 500 cars that came with numbered plaques on the dash. They were all white, blue stripes, blue interior, and were all supposed to have a rear spoiler (made by Pacific auto accesories, in Huntington Beach, CA) , and the cheapie firebird wheels with the plastic centers, I think you know which ones. They called those rally wheels didnt they? Anyway, my car came sans spoiler, dash plaque, and had different wheels too, the turbo finned cast aluminum ones. My car had PW,AT and AC, but that was about it. Some of them were sticks, and a few had t-tops. I dont know the actual numbers.
FWIW they weren't all white with blue... There's a blue with white one running around town, or at least there was a few years ago. It's just another dealer/regional sticker package.
