Re: What year is this Trans Am & Z28
The trans am could be a 1983 or 1984. What are the first 11 letters and numbers of the VIN numbers from both cars?

Re: What year is this Trans Am & Z28
The white ons appears to be the remains of a 1983 Daytona 500 Pace Car Trans Am. Pretty cool, but pretty toasty, unfortunately. What sort of t-tops does it have? They look to be the aftermarket cloth tops, but I cant really tell, probably just the anlge of the picture.
The Z28 is 82-84, garden variety FrankenCamaro, complete with '86 hatch. Or is it an '86 Camaro with 82-84 bumpers and gfx?

Everything that made the Daytona unique looks to be gone except maybe the fender emblem. The Recaro seats, wheels, etc are missing.
The Camaro looks to be an 82-83 Z28. The twin muffler exhaust wasn't around in 86.

By the way thank you all for the feed back it's greatly appreciated! It's a shame the trans am is such junk if it was a pace car version.
