R7U Players/1LE cars lost in a warehouse...
Gosh I've missed you guys and messing with 3rd Gens!! Funny how life happens. As a recovering hoarder I went to the warehouse this weekend to pickup some stuff and my heart fluttered thinking about this period in life and the great memories/friends made over the years chasing these cars from Canada to Texas. As a car hunter it pains me to see these setting here especially after getting so frustrated with guys that would rather see cars set vs send them to a good home. This is embarrassing but it’s life. I leased out 2/3rds of the shop to a granite company so that's what all the dust is from.
Most of the rest of the cars in my signature have been sold and different ones have replaced them. I did pull the white 91 IMSA car out earlier last year to race but decided it didn’t have enough power for my liking so I purchased a 2015 Z28 for the track. (but it was still fun to drive and killer quick for that period of time.)
Here's what you see. They are all magazine cars....
1988 A4U Players Camaro. The real and original 1LE cars. #88 - Tony Morris’ car
1988 A4U Trans Am. 1 of 20 built. Never raced.
1989 R7U Players Camaro. C&C T-Tops cut in. Believed to be a pace car but never officially confirmed. Can anyone help?
1990 Blue 1LE car. The car that started it all even before the Firehawks. So many great memories. 1 of 34 5 speed cars. Very nice paint under all that dust. Tracks are from cat trapped in shop for a couple of days.
1991 1LE IMSA car.
The 87 LX T-Top 5.0 was my first car but my heart has always been with GM (but as a kid it sure was fun kicking the crap out of Iroc’s and Formula 350’s.)
I have another chance to lease out this remaining space and I'm not sure if I will or not. $20k extra/per year in rent is a much smarter financial decision. If someone would like the package of cars then you should certainly hit me up, especially within the next 30 days. The boys (9 and 8 years old) still aren’t interested in the cars so there seems like no real reason to keep them. I’m great to keep em or set them free to a good home. I don’t really want to separate nor take the time to pull everything out and get them pretty.
I’ve been around the car world for a day or two and have had many unique rides. Since the 3rd gen hoarding began I’ve had everything from Ferrari to Viper and everything in between but my heart still lies here.
I’ll be considering another Firehawk shortly but I do have an aluminum hood and Dana 44 if someone wants/needs them.
Thanks!
Greg

Re: R7U Players/1LE cars lost in a warehouse...
Nice! Grammar was never my strong suit.....
Thanks for the PM's and text. First and foremost I'd like to sell as a package. One transaction, one person...easy peasy. If I break them up the Blue 90 will be the last to go. Not due to rarity but due far more to sentimental reasons. You guys will never understand the lengths I've gone to import cars from Canada.
The hood and Dana 44 can be sold individually.
The price? If you're serious PM me and let's talk on the phone. I promise to be real and very reasonable for a serious buyer. I just do not want to post prices all over the internet. I'm not looking to make money but there's no need to take a loss either, as I still love these silly things and all the memories that go with them. It would take a lot of work to pull something like this together again and I don't see how it's a loss by just letting the sit (other than the obvious?)

Wow! Best of luck with your sale, great collection. Any more pics of the white car with white GTA mesh wheels? Thanks!

Re: R7U Players/1LE cars lost in a warehouse...
I didn't realize a ton of Players videos are now uploaded to YouTube?! Thank you to whomever did this.
Here's one of Flag Chevrolet Tony Morris car (i.e. the White Camaro.)
Tony Morris interview at 3:00 and the race starts at 9:00. I didn't realize MacGyver was a driver in the series.....
Certainly fun to watch and makes me want restart hoarding more parts for future restorations. Now to just find the info on the 1989 car..... The 89 Car sold new in West York Chevy Olds in Toronto.

Is that the Check Engine Light that keeps blinking on during his test run in the 5-6 minute mark?

Maybe. Sure behaves in a peculiar manner around the 5:48 mark compared to engine speed, appears to go on and off....

Re: R7U Players/1LE cars lost in a warehouse...
The two 88's and the 89 Players cars can be bought for $16,500 for the three unless I'm way off base that seems pretty fair for as rare as they are.
I've had at least a dozen people inquire on the 90 1LE. I'd like all the others to be sold first since it was the first car to start all this I'd like for it to be the last to go.
Thanks again!
