1985 Firebird/Trans Am RPO W51 Black
What was 1985 Firebird/Trans Am RPO (UPC) W51 "Black Appearance Package" as Pontiac called it?
For 1985, I believe that RPO DE1 was the Louvered Sunshield, and D80 was the deck lid spoiler.
Was RPO W51 the late-1985-introduction of the 1986 D81 Aero spoiler? And I think the 1985 Aero spoilers were all black?
(I say late-1985-introduction because the 1985 dealer brochure indicates the "new aero wing spoiler WILL also BE available." Emphasis added.)
I'm stumped.

Re: 1985 Firebird/Trans Am RPO W51 Black
My 1985 book indicates the following. Note it shows available for Firebird only. Not Trans Am.
Special black appearance package includes: black door handles and lock cylinder, black roof drip molding (not available with hatch roof RPO CC1), black sport mirrors, black deck spoiler and black sail panel Firebird emblem.

Re: 1985 Firebird/Trans Am RPO W51 Black
Thank you, JT.
Since my post, I noted that, in 1984, RPO W51 was available for only six of the Firebird colors. (Likely black, white, bright red, silver, and ??)
Is that true for 1985 as well?
Do you know which six colors were used in 1984? In 1985?
Thank you.
