I'm familiar with this car. It's been for sale for a while. It last sold about a year or two ago for $12K or $14K, I can't remember which, by a dealer who had it for sale a year or two himself. The current dealer has been trying to flip it ever since. Note the placement of the door IROC-Z decals.

I think the color combo hampers this cars value. Other colors seem to be bringing bigger money. Also, why are there no photos with the top up?

To show the condition of the top. Why show the interior? Why show the paint? If you want big money, you have to show that the car is worth it. If it was a $500 car, then I would agree with you.......no one would care about the top.

Kind of funny because I was just thinking how frequent Jay Leno will showcase his convertibles with the top down and almost always mentions never having the top up in the car for years. Because it's California and also because that's what hardtops are for.
Are these rivets for when the car stayed a T-Top and had the wedge reinforcements from the factory?

This is the car that was just outside of Chaz's backyard about 3 years ago. I had talked to the seller on the phone when it was in private party hands. I forgot about the door decal, but that was for sure one of the one things I had questions on because it was suppose to be 100% factory paint. Seller was very motivated at that time & was asking right around 15K for it. Not sure what it sold for but I am guessing it was a little less than that. I have always had some regrets not trying to pursue it, but I waffled a little too long. I'll bet I have some pictures of it sitting in his garage somewhere on my PC. Top was in great shape as I recall.
The direct sunshine & dirty tire treads in these pics don't help it much. Also the krylon paint over the rusty suspension is a bummer. Not sure why people do that to cars like this. I would so much rather see that a little rusty & untouched rather than lipsticked like that.
Edit: I Never noticed the rivets before. What is that about? something on the other side of the jamb? They seem kinda pointless

I also do remember contacting him and asked about it being repainted and he said it was all original, which I doubted. I didn't believe he was lying to me, just that he was unaware. Shortly thereafter a local dealer bought it and had a really tough time flipping. I don't think they made any money on it when it ultimately sold at auction a year or so later.

Anyway, current owner has had it for sale since purchasing over a year ago. It's been on eBay several times for around $28K. I think the seller could move the car quickly at around $20K and still make a tidy profit.

I thought they may have been for the wedges that the T-Top cars got (one would be on the door and the other on the door jamb). But after posting I realized they, or the ones I've seen and are on my own ThirdGen, are further up. So now I'm wondering what they are about on this car.
