Running a wire from trans to inside car
Getting ready to finish wiring up my trans temp gauge and wondered if there was an easy way to route the sensor wire from inside the car to the transmission. A hole in the floor would be easiest, hopefully one already exists with a grommet. I know I can run it out the firewall and down along the floorboards but I'm hoping there's an easier way. Is there a hole under the center console where the shifter cables go? Car is an 89 GTA 700R4.

Take your console out and you will see the shifter cable openings just drill a hole there and put a rubber grommet in that would be easiest.

yeah, there is already a large hole that the shifter cable runs through with an attached grommet. you could probably squeeze it in between the cable and its existing grommet.
