Black seats in tan interior
Hey guys, I might be buying a set of black leather seats from my buddy's 94 Jimmy. I found one thread on here about a guy that put Jimmy seats in his car and said all you have to do is swap the rails.
I'm looking for someone that has black seats with the tan interior. I've got an 87 Formula and it's tan, just don't know what tan it is. I'm pretty sure GM used two different color tans on these cars.
If anyone has any pictures, please post them. Wondering what they would look like.
Tried searching already and couldn't find anything.

HI,
Did you think about seats for your car off Craigslist or possibly recovering them ?
I had a 96 Jimmy and the hinges in those seats poke through the darn material right on the sides where you sit.Mechanically the seat in your car's a better seat.
Just giving yah my

Well, I'm thinking that the 96 seats are different than the 94 seats. The buddy I'm getting these seats from also has a 96 Blazer, and they're different than what's in his 94 Jimmy.
I've thought about recovering mine, but the foam is so worn down, I figure it'd be cheaper to just buy these. Plus, he said he'd sell me the two front seats for $40. Figured I couldn't beat that. Just didn't know what the black leather would look like in a tan interior.

And yeah, Craigslist for third gen parts in my area sucks. Not very many around. And the third gens that you do see around here look like they've been to hell and back. Now the fourth gens, that's a different story.

I've been thinking about the same thing. I've got tan interior in my IROC and would love to have leather seats. Tan leather is impossible to find but black is out there in 4th gen sets. I just don't know how it would look with black seats and tan carpet and door panels. Has anyone done this swap? If you use the Jimmy seats what would you do with the back seats.

Re: Black seats in tan interior
honestly I don't think it would look that bad. I say this because I just noticed in my husband's 09 Legacy that the carpet is black, the seats are tan and the dash in gray....this is straight from the factory. And Honestly I think it looks nice.

That does actually look pretty good. I think black leather would look even better.
The only thing I'm concerned about with the Jimmy seats is that they'll sit up too high. But I'm going to put one in before I buy them just to see how they look and how high they sit.
