Autometer mech. speedo problem

I have an 86 iroc, i made my own dash cluster with autometer phantom gauges im using a mechanical speedometer with cable i didnt know that the original cluster had a vss attached, now i have vss trouble codes and esc.Does any one know if there is a way to correct this problem?Maybe an after market vss that will work i cant seem to find anything that will fix the issue.I also dont have the old cluster anymore so cant salvage the vss if it would have worked or not i dont know. I would appreciate any suggestions thanks

Go here: http://jagsthatrun.com/Pages/SpeedSe...eedometer.html Check out those. I am using the same thing as #1 on my 91 with the same speedo. basically you unscrew the cable, screw on the adapter, screw on the cable and hook those two wires in to your VSS wiring.
