Push button start
Yanked out the cigarette lighter that I don't use, and wired in a push button start I nabbed from eBay. Not really much to it, but I dig it. Yes, you have to turn a key and then push the button, but I don't complain about having to raise my arm up for a couple seconds
The next few pics are just pre-wire so I could test it. Doesn't look nearly that sloppy once I was ready to button it all up
Didn't have to drill out the cigarette lighter hole at all. Fit perfectly.
The final product:

Re: Push button start
It simply replaces turning the key to activate the starter. Functions the same as on motorcycles. I could probably wire it parallel to the key system so I could use either.

Re: Push button start
Ha, yeah I have no intention of replacing it, unless I replace it with a factory CD player.

Re: Push button start
This is nice. I wish someone sold a keyfob/alarm system with start button. I would buy/install that in a second if it wasn't out of this world in pricing. I like what you did with the space, but I would want to replace my keys and without a keyfob it wouldn't be a good idea.

Re: Push button start
Do you have a link to what button you bought? Or the size of the button? Much appreciated
