#8 plug wire hitting the heater box

I remember hearing some guys complain about this along time ago. What do you do to take care of it? After installing my motor, I've noticed that the #8 plug wire boot at the coil pack is hitting the heater box. Pics/help greatly appreciated!

thanks!

Yeah I was going to try and move it around or even make a different mounting bracket but that's alot of work if there is a simple fix. You not running a heater/ac box in yours??

theres an expensive fix with the relocated packs

i cant find a pic close up of anyone running the full box

tom's car had the box and everything in there.. maybe he will chime in

speartech's got the truck pack on there
http://www.speartech.com/coproj-1991ls1.html

just watched 5.0camaros vid again and hes got the ls1 packs and a full box so maybe he's got the solution

my solution was to remove everything for max clearance until i can get a proper box

That's probably why then.

*When you gonna help me figure out my wiring????

Anyone else?? I think speartech or someone "modified" their AC/heater box for clearance. Not sure what I'm going to do. I've been waiting on a call back from Bruce Hawkins for some swap details.

Sorry guys I just saw this. What Bruce did for me was to trim back the edge of the box seam. He then resealed the box . It is real close between box and coil but they don't touch I will get a picture next week. Camera is on vacation with the wife.

If the tubular member clears that means it must be a small drop crossmember. So if ya shim your stocker 1/4-1/2 it should be the same.
