LOTS OF QUESTIONS PLEASE HELP
Ok so my swap is going at a decent rate so far and I have my Spohn crossmember, and a custom made-to-fit driveshaft by driveline inustries and my pedals are already installed, New Painless wirirng installed, all I have left is to buy a VATS bypass module and figure out how to install it.
1. I've read that you have to use the T56 slave cylinder, I pulled the stock T5 slave clyinder fromt donor car, what will happen if I try to use the T5 slave clyinder and not a T56 slave clyinder ???
2. How do I install the bypass module, I've read about it and I cannot seem to understand everything, they mention a 25 pin connector, the only connector Iam familiar with is the ALDL diagnostic port under the driverside dash that is used for pulling codes. Please somebody give me the idiots guide to this.
3. I have seen how the Vette' accessory setup works much better if you plan to use the A/C. I want to use the A/C and I was wondering if I could just hook everything up the way the Vette's is, or is that only possible on an "actual Vette' motor" ??
4. Will a brand new alternator from a 92' camaro work with the LT1 ??

A lot of the lt1 swap is new to me as I have not started mine.
1 I think you need the t56 hydraulics
2 I dont know, having mine done in the pcm when I send away for initial tune.
3 AC is a pain in the azz...not sure how many are working. Vette is completely different, you need to change all mounted to the front of the engine..well almost all to get the compressor on top. Dimple the crossmember and work on the motor mount as discussed by others. Search on AC or A/C and the vette info plus more will survace.
4 Maybe but I dont know...go to rockauto.com or similar...even autozone...ask to see both...check part numbers...I have not see this one asked before.
All I know until maybe the fall when mine is installed.

2. sell the bypass module. you need to get the PCM tuned anyway for the code deletes, so just have it tuned out.
3.the brackets and all do bolt up.
