Re: Project: LM7 5.3 Into my iroc

Im using the truck harness as well, but decided to do ac and heater core delete. I am also running most body control components on toggle switches. This could come out really bad or really good......

Anywho heres my update:

I have billet fuel rails, Ls2 intake, Ls2 cam installed with new chain.
New ls1 water pump, Ls6 valve springs installed, F-body oil pan.
I have a drive by wire 90mm throttle body my buddy gave me, I am trying to sale it though....so I can get drive by cable. If your interested sheldon, I can sale it to you for real cheap.

Re: Project: LM7 5.3 Into my iroc

Long time, No posts, or for that fact, work on the car.

Well, we moved, we got a new shop, new house, and now its a short drive to the shop rather then crossing the driveway.

Im getting close now, saturday the car is scheduled for an alignment, and i wont sleep untill the car is ready to go.

Here are a few pictures of where it sits now:

Parts ordered:

Hedman LT's for modification (See other thread)
Bends for Y & peices to fab it.
Mr transmission Tranny cooler (good quality)
Prestone universal fit lower rad hose, hopefully it will fit

heres a picture (excuse my kitty haha)

Re: Project: LM7 5.3 Into my iroc

ALright Everyone, its late, im tired, and dont feel like putting a bunch of info in this craphole fora thread. Im going to make a new Start - finish one with all the details on everythign i did later on, after its...well finished. haha. I might make that thread tommorow thought if i get bored.

ANYWAY, enough rambling. Heres progress

Engien bay: Few little things, intake painted, changing my master to the LS1, i think thats all i did.

LS1 Brakes finished:

Heres my Pedal. Yes its sketchy. Sketchy counts in my books I love the feel of it, so ima keep it

It looks so much worse then it really is, it feels gorgeous, so im keepin it haha.

Finally did my fuel filler neck:

Passenger header fitted. Spark plug changes are a snap, boots fit well, im lovin it already

And my sketchy steam hose setup:

I spy with my little eye, something that cost me alot of money! (A trans cooler)

Re: Project: LM7 5.3 Into my iroc

Be prepared for the sketchiest thing you have ever seen in your life. Sketchy, like i said, sketchy counts in my books. Its my temporary tq. arm re-location until i get a spohn one.

Yes thats a file, its not finished any more as i found some flex in it when i mounted it so im going to weld some verticle support in it. Otherwise it fits well. I know, i was surprised too!

Yes, its temporary!

Hers an interior shot for the hell of it

Question: are you going to attach the fuel filler neck to the car in any way? I'm about to put mine on and don't know if it's needed.
----------
Also - curious how you're going to be running the exhaust. I'm keeping the 700r4 and will have the same tranny mount as you do (for now at least).

Re: Project: LM7 5.3 Into my iroc

I dont feel the filler neck really needs to be mounted, its pretty stiff in its pl ace, i dont think its doin anywhere.

As for the Y, its going to be running down just under the pan and under the crossmember untill i go T-56. Sucks, but oh well.
