Re: Hawks New Build 1989 Firebird Formula LS1/Maggie

What cross member is that? And does it use a transmission mounted torque arm, or?

The reason I ask is because I have the Spohn cross member with their cross member mounted torque arm and I cannot get the torque arm to sit flush with the frame rail. The fitment sucks. I'm just trying to see what some other options are...any input would be great.

That crossmember is the new one we offer for maximum ground clearance, you have to make a custom y-pipe but that x-member is perfect for clearance... the kicker is it only works with trans mounted torque arms and body mounted torque arms (i.e. bmr trak pak works great!)

It's a Magnaflow Race series muffler, with the mufflex you can either get the magnaflow, flowmaster race series, and a spintech. (we normally put the magnaflows on)

Re: Hawks New Build 1989 Firebird Formula LS1/Maggie

Hi,
Offset and backspacing usually depends on the rear and brakes and what if any suspension mods are on the car so that we can get the best stance and lip for that pro touring look as possible, if you like call the office and I can help you with a set for your set up on your car with pricing as well.

Re: Hawks New Build 1989 Firebird Formula LS1/Maggie

Nice Formula! I saw it at one of the local meets in the Kemah area. Absolutely beautiful in person. Didn't see the owner, he was probably out browsing the other fine rides. Hope to see it around again.
