ltx a/c pulley question
I am swapping an 97 LT1 into an 84 Z28. I am using a 94 serpentine setup w/ a/c delete pulley. This one is a bit technical for me. I am putting the BBK crank underpulley on the serpentine and already have the shorter belt. I want to keep my a/c (I live in south texas and this is my daily driver). Can I use a bracket from a corvette or something else on the drivers side to mount my a/c. Remember with that BBK crank underpulley, the harmonic balancer will not have a belt on it. I am hoping that I can use a bracket from some other car and probably a spacer or two (on the bracket) to make the harmonic balancer act as a pulley for just the a/c compressor. Any thoughts? Am I reinventing the wheel?

Re: ltx a/c pulley question
There are a couple of ways to do it.
The first is to notch the subframe to fit the F-fody LT1 compressor. Then have a set of A/C hoses made to connect to the stuff on your car.

look at post 32 35 and 70. those pictures will give you an idea of what needs to done. I did cut and weld an actual notch into the subframe to better. the lines might not clear the headers.
The next is relocation bracket. here's the link http://www.bowersrodshop.com/index.p...pper&Itemid=60
The last is use all the corvette LT1 accessories.
check the LT1 swap faqs it'll give more if you need it

No, I want to use the delete pulley for ease of installation and don't want to notch the k member. So I want to try to try to use the harmonic balancer. To run a second belt
