Shortblock rebuild- 5.7 AL or 6.0 iron..

Here's a few scenarios, of which one will play out by Saturday. I tend to over think simple things, hopefully I don't ruffle feathers with a possible obnoxious post looking for simple opinions on which route to go. Street car, 2,000 miles a summer, limited track or autoX use... Just hammer the snot out of it on every back country road. Some may know, the high mile ls1 didn't hold up, partially due to 176k on the clock, and partially due to oil pump relief valve failure.

Rebuild said 99 shortblock, no spun bearings, just very worn
Rebuild lq4, using flat tops instead of dished pistons, runs but unknown miles.

Engine builder says rebuild price will be identical between the two(except some additional tuning if swapping to a 6.0). No plans on NOS or boost, have stock as cast 243s milled .025, and a TSP Torquer V2 cam, hawks 1-3/4 longtubes and a ls6 intake, will be used on either shortblock.

6.0 worth the cost to go to flat tops and the extra weight?

As usual, sorry for the length, fire off with opinions, just want this done ASAP, and done right.

The 6.0 is a longblock for 400. From what I gather, lq4s all have 317s? Might re-coup a little bit out of those if I go 6.0. Have ls1 sold for 250 as a block with rotating assembly, all I have to do is make the call.
