Corvette accessories... whats the verdict?

I've been shopping around for a low mile LS1, Corvette motors are everywhere and it seems the F-body pull outs are harder to find. Having said that, what's the verdict on using the corvette accessories in a third gen? With the alternator up top looks like they would fit... but what about the A/C compressor?

I know the oil pan won't work, already have a brand new F-body pan and motor mounts, also have a cable driven throttle body as the corvette is drive by wire. Just wanted to see if the accessories would work... if so then I'm going to order a vette pull out and use it.

Thanks

Re: Corvette accessories... whats the verdict?

I have the GM Performance Vette Accessory bracket kit & it fit well.

I did have a problem getting the AC hose block, so I bought an 08 Vette hose & modified it to fit the Firebird.

Also got a custom PS pressure hose made & bought the PS pump adapter fitting from Detroit speed.

lonnie, that is a very nice looking engine bay.

i also used the vette ls3 accessory kit from GMPP (non ac) and it worked great for me in my 85 iroc application

Re: Corvette accessories... whats the verdict?

Thanks guys....
When I first started my swap, I read so many posts saying that the Vette AC compressor will not fit. Then I started looking at it & wondered why.

The AC hose connections are very close to the spring pocket, but I got everything to fit with no problem.

I did mine because there is a bunch of room to fit a ProCharger on the passenger side. With some slight mods I think I can get the Vette kit to fit. Got to plan for the future also.

Lonnie,
Do you have a close-up of the driver's strut tower - how you mounted the fuel reg?

Re: Corvette accessories... whats the verdict?

I'll look... I like the location, but it will interfere with a strut tower brace... an afterthought I now regret.
