5.3 into my 90 camaro any suggestions
I recently bought a 90 t top e's with no motor or trans. The rest of the car is there and solid. I also acquired a 03 Yukon I'm pulling the motor and wiring harness and computer this weekend. No trans in the Yukon. This will be my first conversion I'll take any suggestions you may have. My first thoughts are using a k member built for the conversion. And sending hawks both of the wiring harnesses to build a plug and play harness.

Doing the same swap into my '87 iroc and it has been quite the adventure. I switched out the oil pan with a gm performance swap pan, factory clam shell motor mounts with Speedway motors swap brackets, and plan on using kwik performance accessory brackets. I am going to have Pocket build me a new factory plug and play harness and then have a local tuner do the box.

The height of the motor doesnt change with replacing the k member. If it did then the oil pan would be closer to the ground. The intake manifold will need to be changed or the hood will need to be replaced with a cowl hood.

Your also going to need to run either ls1 f-body exhaust manifolds or aftermarket headers for the lsx swaps. If you do a search for 5.3 truck engines you can get a good list of things you will need to get them to fit into 3rd gens. Your gonna love it when your done.

I do have a fbody tailshaft from a 01 Z28 if you end up needing one.

Google racing innovations for a budget header. They're tight around the shifter area for 4L60E's, but workable, esp since they're 1/2 the price of anything else
