Some New Pics of My Heritage Z28
Hey guys, I just washed my car for the first time this season and snapped some quick pics. The quality is somewhat lacking because of fluctuating cloud cover and the absense of a picturesque location (too lazy to move it from my driveway haha). Anyway, after I wax and or do a full detail (portal cable and all---whichever comes first) I'll actually take the car somewhere and snap some good pictures.
Also, just got the windows tinted and installed a '01 Monsoon Cd player from an SS Camaro...let me know what you think...

Looks great as always!!
I don't really like the look of that radio in there... too smooth, and a lighter color?

35% on the sides, 25% on the back. It's dark enough to notice, but its still subtle enough that cops won't hassle you. Also, the radio kinda looks out of place in the picture because of the flash, and although the colors are slightly different, it looks near perfect in person.

Haha yes I do. Unfortunately, the first week I was back from college the registration didn't come in the mail, and then the following 2 weeks it rained almost every day. Really sucks I've only put about 175 miles on it in the 3 weeks ive been home. I'm looking forward to some more good weather though...today was a beautiful t-top day in eastern pa!

see thats the good thing about t-tops on a black car. you get to enjoy t-tops but dont have to put up with a mismatched roof (i remember i hated how the top of my old car was black...just didnt look as clean)

Looks great! I'm curious as to why your car doesn't have red accented wheels and red rocker emblems. Is it because the interior is black? All of the black/red heritage cars I've seen have had red interiors.

Also, I almost regret to say that I still haven't driven the car that much. Only 380 miles since I've been home since the summer. I haven' t really taken any long trips so the only place I really go is to the gym, the bank, friends' houses or the store.

I just picked up a set of 10 Spoke SS wheels from an LS1 Camaro...how do you guys think they'd look on my car? I'm still not sure if I want to put them on or stick with the stockers...

Re: Some New Pics of My Heritage Z28
Went to the Camaro Nationals/GM Carlisle Show today and got some good pictures of my car and saw some AWESOME 3rd gens (along with many other sweet F-bodies and GM vehicles). Heres some pics of my car at the show, and if people want I can post some pictures that i took of some really nice 3rd gens in the main A&D section.
Also note that prior to the Camaro Nationals I did a full detail:
Step 1: Wash
Step 2: Claybar
Step 3: Tropicare Swirl Remover, light cutting pad, Porter Cable
Step 4: Tropicare Polish/Sealant, finishing pad, Porter Cable
Step 5: Hand waxed with Klearkote Moose Wax (carnuba)
Step 6: cleaned windows, sprayed tires, cleaned wheels, etc.
After the detail:

Everything looks great with the exception of one thing, the passenger rear seams to sit much higher than the rest of the car in all your pics. My car used to do that a bit before I lowered it. Ever consider lowering it?

Re: Some New Pics of My Heritage Z28
wow, i LOVE the way that radio looks in there! now i just gotta figure out how to make one of those look at home in my 84 firebird! i even have a good aftermarket head unit that i'd trade straight up for a monsoon HU...and maybe one for my camaro too, cause it's gonna go back on the street i think as well
anyhow, the rest of the car is awesome too...but that radio sets off the interior...nothing like new school meeting old school in an ultra clean way!

Great looking Z! I have always been a fan of the black w/red stripe heritgae cars. Combined with the black interior yours is hard to beat. Keep up the good work mack.

Re: Some New Pics of My Heritage Z28
I printed this double din radio bezel for a third-gen Firebird / Trans Am. I do not own a third-gen Firebird / Trans Am so I matched the size to a one and a half Din stock bezel. I know the size is right and the mounting points are correct but I don't know how the final fit will be. As with anything 3d printed, it will need to be finish sanded, and painted to match your interior.. If your interested in my proto type PM me and we can work something out
