Fixing up my '90 RS
So recently I was looking around for a good starter car. I came across this beauty for $1000! Everything works, it runs very well, has a very nice kenwood deck, V8 L03 with auto trans, and everything works! A/C is hold, heater is hot, etc. Take a look:
So if you can tell it's pretty decent looking, though the paint is faded, and the front end has some damage. I've been working on it for about a week, and here I am now:
You can see the damage to the frame really well here.
So basically after I tore everything down, my whole front bumper assy, my left fender, and my hood needed to be replaced. Luckily for me, I found a junker car without a motor/trans, and with all the body parts for $280, picked it up today. got the fender and hood on before I closed up shop tonight, expect updates soon!

Re: Fixing up my '90 RS
Nice start! That is actually a L03, not an LB9 motor. L03 is the throttle body injected 305 rated at 170bhp and 255 ft. lbs. torque. That was the motor that I had in my 1992 RS, honestly, they don't feel as slow as people say they are! They are super reliable and respond quite well to bolt-ons. Good luck with your project!

Re: Fixing up my '90 RS
Got some updates!
We've been working hard on the front end, and we took the torch to it today, and finally straightened out my bumper mounts.
and we worked on aligning the hood some more, I actually had to replace the hood release cable, as it ripped.
That's all for now! Somehow the starter just up and went on us, so now that's on my list.
List so far:
Oxygen sensor
Starter

Re: Fixing up my '90 RS
$1000? thats pretty good deal, I have a 87 (it was $1500) and looked pretty much the same besides a big *** rust spot behind the drivers door. I bought a new front bumper cover and a new fiberglass hood for it, and now waiting on money to continue

Some major updates!
The new hood, front clip, and fender have all been installed and aligned. Now it's on to sanding and then eventually paint!
Check it out:
Thanks for looking! Your thoughts?

Re: Fixing up my '90 RS
seems like your passenger fender had been dented inward, along with the GFX

Re: Fixing up my '90 RS
EDIT: I see what you guys are talking about now, yeah I have no Idea why it's like that. I've been having problems with this front clip. They ARE the same year, so it really shouldn't be a problem, but I know for a fact it's not the fender.

Re: Fixing up my '90 RS
Hey guys, I'm checking everything on my motor, replacing gaskets and hoses, etc. This hose that runs from the intake to the valve cover is rotted, and I need know what it is/where i can get a new one. Picture included, sorry it's bad, my camera stopped focusing for some reason.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: Fixing up my '90 RS
Thats the hose that runs from the PCV valve to the throttle body. You can just use the correct length of 3/8" fuel hose and it will work just fine.
