Opinions on a few things.

Option A)

find a 93-97 3.42 rear end with dics, giving me my posi and rear dics brakes. that would give me the offset some DD c5 rims in rear, and then all i would have to do would be to get 2 inch spacers in the front rims...

link to rims:
http://www.hawksthirdgenparts.com/pr...-Set-of-4.html

Option B)

Stick with the currant rear end and keep the drum rears, but have a posi installed. Grab a set of 17" steel cragers, or some TT2's, and then use the extra money to get my windows tinted.

i really cant decided what i want to do about rims, i want them to flow with the car. Not just become the main focal point on it. so here is what my currant set up looks like. then after that i found some really nice looking 82-92 camaros with rims that i think look pretty dam nice.

I really like how these black rims work with the color of the camaro, i don't necessarily like the rims though.

i really cant decide if this would look good, with my black metallic paint...

Re: Openions on a few things.

Ever thought of c4 zr1 wheels? They are probably they cleanest looking vette wheel for the third gen. One of the most functional too.

17x11 allows a meaty sidewall as well as good width for traction.

Goals? crowd pleaser, drag, autox ?

Re: Openions on a few things.

Search tgo for CTW 17 * 9 wheels

They look the best and don't need spacers.

Re: Openions on a few things.

That's defiantly an option, how do the 17x11's look on the rear? any pictures of that? I'm more show then anything, but it be nice to keep up with all my friends in 4th gens. i had dreams of doing some Auto-X but just never had the time.

those are nice rims, but they would show off my drums to much. The reason i was contemplating some of the vette rims is because i would be getting a new disc brake set up in the rear as well if i upgraded to a 4th gen rear.

Re: Openions on a few things.

This is just my opinion. Every time a black rim is mounted on a non back car, a puppy dies. Please save the puppies.

I can not stand c6 wheels on a third gen. A 4th gen yes, but not a 3rd gen.

My vote is for none of the above. Get creative, do something unique. It's your car. Put your unique style on it and do something that you haven't seen before. Make it your own so you smile every time you see it. Just my .02

Re: Openions on a few things.

I think the gunmetal c5 wheels would look awesome on your car. I would do the 4th gen rear to not have to run spacers on the rear. I would go with either a staggered 17/18 combo or 18x9.5 all the way around.

Re: Openions on a few things.

Just another option to throw at you is that you can buy the 4th gen rear you mentioned and swap the carrier with the posi and gears and the disc brakes onto your existing rear to stay with 3rd gen offset wheels all around. I love how the 3rd gen spacing allows wheels with a lip/dish to them.

Re: Openions on a few things.

I have seen a guy run stock 3rd gen wheels on a 4th gen rear ad I believe he had to use a 1" spacer.

you must have that backwards. The 4th gen rear is wider than the 3rd gen rear, so adding a spacer would make the wheels stick out of the wheel wells by a couple inches.

Re: Openions on a few things.

I like the stock wheels. I have the same wheels on my RS and love them with my solid white letter BFG's. I like the black steel wheels on trucks and G body's gives them the old school Nascar look, but on 3rd gens they look crappy to me.
