Thanks guys! I will get some better pics posted this weekend.
From these shots you really cant see the ghost flames in pearls.

they are on the lower doors above the checks and across the rear wing and up the hood.

Re: finished my car after 7 years

Your car is very nice.

However, those harnesses are setup wrong and will potientially collapse your seats in a wreck. Harnesses are required to have a 45* angle to be effective.

You need something to hold the top harness straps or you may die. Your setup right now is not even half as safe as the factory 3 point. (Do you have some sort of bar back there? Or the top straps bolted to the bottom of the seats? I cannot tell from the pics. There looks to be something gray but I cannot tell if it is the straps or some sort of bar.)

Re: finished my car after 7 years

Restraints are set up correctly. I have them set up similar to my circle track car that I built. Instead of the full roll cage I engineered some floor mounts that are on ways. I asked about two years ago if anybody knew how to mount the harnesses without a full roll cage and I received answers from people that haven't a clue. So I designed a system for doing just that. Trust me I would not jeopardize myself or my passenger. besides I am a ME/EE/PE. and have tested the design with FEA.

Floor mount meaning greater than 45* angle? If not then I do not care what anyone tells you, your seat will collapse. If the floor mount is right about where the rear seat belt bolts are then you will be good. Any closer and you are messing with your life regardless what anyone tells you.

The car is not my style but, you have a very clean and nice ride. The motor looks great. Nice work. How much did them pulleys set you back? Thought about adding them but man they are expensive.

Re: finished my car after 7 years

Good job. Two questions:

1) What brand of headliner? Looks like vinyl?

2) What brand/type of carpet? Looks nice and plushy (or maybe it's just the color that throws it off).

Re: finished my car after 7 years

Very very clean bird man! And the ghost tribal skulls inside of the checkered design on the hood laid down very nicely! not trying to pick a scab here, but I agree, if the angel isn't over 45 degrees, your asking for trouble, not saying you dont know what your doing because no one is questioning your wrenching skills, but take a measurement to double check. it is fairly, FAIRLY, simple to add a cross bar for the harnesses and it WILL save your life if ever needed. Did it with mine and I love the set up. Absolutely great finish work and attention to detail, way to go!

Obviously, the interior wasnt finished in this, but it gives a good view of the cross bar, now mine is an 8 point cage, but you can see where to go with it.

Re: finished my car after 7 years

If floor mounts for 5 pt harnesses are so bad, why do the harness makers offer them? Because they AREN'T so "dangerous".
