My 91

Hey guys heres a few pics of my GTA for ya Its the 305 with a 5sp with some motor work as well. Its got a Lingenfelter plenum and runners, Edelbrock intake, Aluminum Corvette heads, Mild Comp Cam, and Edelbrock headers. I dont remember whos fuel rails or injector size but 24lb sounds familiar. I bought the car with the motor work done. Inside all thats changed is a B&M Ripper shifter and a Clairion CD player. Everything else is original and almost flawless.

I purchased the car in 95 and drove it for a year before insurance cost wayyyyy to much to drive it anymore. Its been in my garage waiting for the day it could be driven again. Didnt take much to make me feel 22 again

Ive searched for a couple weeks and the info here looks plentiful......Im still sure I will have some questions

ENJOY!!

Re: My 91

Gunmetal grey 1991 and 1992 GTAs are so rare. It's my second favorite color (next to black), and if I ever get a 2nd GTA, it will be that color.

YOUR CAR IS BEAUTIFUL!

Welcome to Thirdgen.org

Re: My 91

....that is pristine. I have a 91 Gunmetal Metalic car, certainly not a GTA but I read in a book(a Firebird book) and the color itself isn't as rare as I thought it was because I hardly see any, but a GTA...i've only seen 1 other one who is on this board. I have to ask you for a picture though. Under the front end of the car, where the fender ground effects meetup with the bumper and underside...if you could get a picture of that, it would help me tremendously in my body work. I don't know if i'm missing something or they just bolt up with the fender and bumber and that's it. It doesn't look right because they sag where the ground effects bolt up with the bumper.

There was around 52000 miles on it when i bought it. I drove it for a year and its just under 60000 miles on it now. Its sat inside since 1996 and I just brought it out again 5 days ago.

Ill admit........................Ive came close to selling it no less than 30 times in the last 11 years For some reason I think they will be worth some decent cash some day.

Was wondering when someone would see that its a Canadian car I live in Medicine Hat, Alberta. Its about 2hrs north of the border.

That's a nice looking GTA. I've always been partial to the 91/92s myself. I just passed through Medicine Hat with my red 91 GTA on the weekend as I was in Lethbridge with a few friends to check out the Street Wheelers Car Show.

I got a lot of good pics from that show, I just haven't downloaded them yet. There was a 30th Anniversary T/A, GMC Syclone, orange 2002 T/A WS6 that was a former MTI car, green Holden pickup, Superbird, and that's just a brief listing of what was out there.

Re: My 91

wow---never seen so many mods on a 305! Must go very good!

My car could really use that intake! My cam is pretty big and I am sure that TPI is really limiting me.

You should bring both cars to Calgary for the Camaro and friends show this sunday. I think I got a 91 Formula 350 coming too.

The gun metal gray combined with the 5 speed is very likely the lowest production combonation. There wee 483 GTAs imported to Canada that year.

Just a guess but I'd be surprised if there were more then 30 GTAs like yours.
If I could buy a 2nd Firebird....

Was the TTA from Red Deer?

Re: My 91

Thanx Mike
I have no clue as to how many were made with the options it has, but since Ive owned it Ive never seen another one of the same colour.

I would make the trip to that car show but Im still at work (over a month now) and dont have days off scheduled till the 27th. Keep me posted on when the next show is and I will try and get days off to make it. If nothing this year next summer for sure as I want to show the new TTA off.

As far as the TTA goes I have to meet the custom hauler in Billings on the 5th of September to pick it up. I found it in Florida....super low miles....absolutely friggin SWEEET!!!! Thats the reason for a possible sell of this one.....Momma says the 33x36 garage being full of my toys must come to an end.........Cant really blame her.......sweeping snow off the car isnt fun LOL.
