moved to fairfax VA.. anyone here?

Im having major camaro doubts... i have put like 200 miles on my camaro in the last year.. it just sits in the garage... it drives perfect but im losing interest... i want to get it painted and do more stuff to it , but like i am just losing interest somehow... maybe its winter and i havent driven it in months.. but i bout an s10 recently and lowered it and put rims on it, and like im wasting all my money on my truck.. it looks awesome though but i just dont seem to care about my camaro anymore?? what the hell is wrong with me? im on my 4th thirdgen .. it was always my dream car.. but like i just got a good job down here, i have lots of money, and all i wanna do it get like a new bmw or a 350Z like my roomate.. or something cool.. the thirdgens just dont have a big following... i went to a 350Z meet last weekend and there were 100 hooked up 350Z's there.. theres nothing like that for thirdgens... i dont know i just wanted to vent.. im drinking right now and thats not helping lol...

anyways does anyone live in VA??

damn your ride is awesome!

maybe its cuz you havent driven it in several months? or maybe the simple fact that "some people change"? or maybe your trying to find yourself all over again?

Nah, don't get rid of it. Don't let the gayness get to you unless you get a vette or M3.

If you've got teh money for a 350z, get a C5 vette, and the supra is soon to be 11's this season. I just finished phase one of my 2005 mods.

Cool, my expected goal with this car is to hit 9's. Three of buddies are in the 9's with their supras so i'd like to be there with them. One runs a 9.68, other runs a 9.88, and other one will be in the 9's this season. If you don't want a vette, i vote for a WS6 or a SS. My friend is selling his 98 Z28 for $9000. Its been never been driven hard and its local if you're interested.

speaking from experience, when a car sits and you don't get a chance to enjoy it you'll lose interest. But once you get driving it again, and hear that exhaust you'll be grinnin

Yeah the area here in fairfax is brand new.. from houses to every car.. At any given stop light.. you will find a brand new bmw lexus and merc, as well as a porche viper or ferrari... at EVERY stop light lol. Let me get the Z out with the ttops off and we will see.. I dont think i could ever sell it.. but i do want a brand new car.. But if i buy a brand new car, ill probably throw all my money into that, and the camaro will never be fixed up like i want it to be..

Maybe the 2007 camaro will actually come out and possibly look good.. if not, the vette would be a nice one to get.. I dont think i could actually go to the import world, i just think its too gay. You have to spend so much money to get anywhere fast.

I'm looking to get a somewhat new car myself, and I can't really see owning a 4th gen and a 3rd gen, lol. But I can't see myself selling my car either since I probably wouldn't get much for it.

Hang in there. There are still some 3rd gens around. We have two 3rd gens (we're in Vienna) and hope to have the IROC ready bring to the Hideout gathering at Manassas Hooters on the 30th. I'm sure there will be at least a couple of other people with 3rd gens there, so drop by and join us.

Its fairfax...

You have been bitten by the Northern VA, especially Fairfax Co. "rich people's bug." I work in Fairfax Co. and yes, EVERYONE and their brother drives a 3 or 5 series BMW, Mercedes 230 and up, or Infinity G35 sedan/coupe. You should take pride in being original with that BEAUTIFUL Z28 you have. I would kill for that thing! I recently was in the market for a new car and I didn't even give any BMW, Mercedes, or Infinity's a look because I am SICK of them. Plus, I wasn't going to spend $40K or above just for a status symbol. I went with a 2005 Pontiac GTO instead, so now I can smoke anyone of the cars listed above, (including M3s) and I only spent $33K.

Stick with that Camaro, don't let this area get to you, believe it or not there are plenty of Thirdgen people around, you just have to find them!

yes this area is definetly getting to me..to many brand new cars.... i got the take the Z out the other day when it was like 80 degrees and as usually ever single head turns my way cuz its so freakin loud lol... and then i got alot of compliments, and well im liking it again... i just washed and waxed it too.. but man that paint just doenst shine like it used to... awesome for factory paint.. but its just starting to fade in some key areas..

i just started my mom couple weeks ago, so once hte money flows in ill decide either new car or continue funding this one

im really hoping the 2007 camaro comes out beacuse i will be all over it if it looks good

1991,

Yeah, this weather has been really nice lately. I am sure everyone turns and admires your car. My RS gets all kinds of compliments and its just a 305 RS! People at work are always looking at my car and telling me how good it sounds and how they either want a car like this, or miss the one they had. Of course there are the "elitests" who think that only *******s drive Camaros (especially 3rd Gens), but screw them, they don't know crap about cars, so who cares what they think! I love having a 3rd Gen Camaro, and even when my GTO is built, I'll still love my little 305 '92 RS! I'm glad to see you've rekindled your interest in your '91 BEAST!

Just a few right now, but it's early in the season yet. I'm the only 3rdGen so far, except for FordGirlGoneBad (her car is getting hooked up right now). Come to Ft. Hunt park on the 23rd, looks like there might be a nice turn out there, mostly Hideout-peeps plus people from 1stStateFBody.

welcome to fairfax county hell...

I live in springfield, ive lived here my whole life and yes it absolutely sucks. The roads are terrible the traffic is terrible and there are maybe 3 nice 3rd gens.

Ive seen a nice black Iroc with blue decals, Red 91/92 Z28 with 18-20s? and red louvers on the back and a nice red iroc vert.

Tonight im heading out to the burger king in Mannassas as maybe i can meet a few fellow third geners.

Shops to take it to

Well, try ABS unlimited auto repair on Draper drive in Fairfax-they have done almost all the work on my baby and they are a good christian shop. As far as the old northern VA Bug and all that-lookie here-I've lived here my entire life and you've got to remember, this is one of the top 3 RICHEST counties in the COUNTRY. People are snobs and dont give you the time of day. But you know what? Screw 'em-they're not worht YOUR time. That's what over 33 years here will do to you-IF you let it. I'll do that hooters thing with you if you want-I live in Vienna.-3miles away.

I try to make it to the Northern VA gatherings...been to one so far and it was a great meet/greet. I should be at the next one -- I'm hoping the overhaul is complete by then, but that's not up to me.

Arlington, Virginia here. Have no doubts about your Camaro. We have the hottest, sexiest cars around. You have a great paint job. One of mine is white and would like to have it repainted metallic dark blue.
I have driven other cars but there arent many I would swap mine for. Just my 2 cents worth.
