New to the board from Grand Rapids, MI
Long time lurker for info, second time owner of a third gen. I bought a Iron Duke 84 and flipped it but just recently bought DjCobol's IROC-Z, this one might be a keeper after the work I put into it.
I look forward to all the insight this board has to offer

Re: New to the board from Grand Rapids, MI
Pullin' up my old thread since I've really started to tear into it.
Here is how it looks now.
I have an original front that is going on, the one that was on there was sagging (aftermarket piece) and the chin spoiler was warped an chewed up. LS1 brakes, LT1 rear yet to go in. The Eagle 077's came of my 4x4 Jimmy and will have to do for now. The Boyd's went onto my 55 Bel Air. Yes, I know it's dirty.

Also built a little something satisfy my right foot
355 - 4 bolt - single rear main - fully balanced - 10.5:1 - Edelbrock 2.02/1.60 heads - .585 intake .575 exhaust Comp Cam (most likely way to big, but giving it a shot. I will change this winter if I hate it) Accel base plate and SLP runners, all matched.

3.42 zexel torsen, WC T5, Spohn weld it SFC's/LCA's and relocators/A Arms/Edelbrock 3 point strut brace.
Need to finish up some patches on the rear floor pans. The PO (actual I think the PO before him) let the drain holes plug up. What a PITA, welding thin sheet metal is not my favorite thing to do.

I hope so, because your car is sweet! Hopefully I'll have mine buttoned up this month, just got the Hooker 2055's yesterday
Look for it at the Cascade Meijer, that is where I spend a majority of my time!

Welcome. I'm still not on the road yet, I let a friend borrow my hoist and it still hasn't found its way back yet. The prototype 7 tooth speedo gear is installed, hopefully it doesn't let loose on the post-rebuild maiden voyage Just need to bolt it all together and get a base tune down.

Re: New to the board from Grand Rapids, MI
Pullin' this one back up! I haven't gotten as far as I planned....I have a problem with starting too many projects. I'm finishing up a 1989 Silverado (w/ 98 GMC metal, TPI, 6" lift) and started a 1985 GMC K5 Jimmy (4" lift, 56" spring swap, 35's) that needs some major metal work.
Anyway, here is the dirty gal. It moves on without having to be pushed around! I still have some rear floor pan work to finish up, rear brakes, and the exhaust to install. The engine dyno program put the motor 433hp/427tq...probably a bit on the high side though. The 89 Silverado is the blue truck in the background

Still for sale I think, as long as I have some rims to replace them. I can have them blasted and teflon coated for 20 bucks...decisions

I can drop off some free rear LT1 brackets while I'm there, if the rims are waiting anyway (looking at you, Tyler)

Yea right Tyler you won't go. But got someone to haul my seats if you get off your lazy *** and go lol. Jk. But you should go.
Darren I'm taking those seats off your hands. I might have you grab something's from metamora to but I'll text you and let you know.
