1985 IROC Z-28 Recent Purchase $1000
Just picked up a 1985 IROC Z-28 for $1k. Had a bad tranny in it when I purchased it. Also installed new center link and sway bar links. Got @$1200 in it now. Know the engine is not the original. Haven't run the numbers on it to find out if it's a 350 or 305. Did put in a working 700R4 in it over the weekend. Has a B & M Megashifter, Crager 14 inch chrome rims, Edelbrock Torker intake and a Holley Carb. Think I need to replace the electric fan motor or the relay. Doesn't spin very fast. Anyway, here are some pics of the car.

You could probably pull the block id numbers and use that find out what core it started at. That would give you a pretty good idea on what it approximately now.
Congratz on the car. It looks very nice for the price.

Located in Muncie, IN. It's one of 9 cars now. Really just got this to make some $ on. Probably sell it on Craigslist.com for $2200 obo. Already have a hot rod, a built 350 Vortec Roller / 700R4 Chevy powered '87 Supra.
Just know what would happen if I kept it, I'd break it. Then I'd have to fix it. Repeat until sold. Shouldn't be driving it, the more I do, the more I find. Little things, but those add up. Flip cars and the key is to keep cost minimal to maximize profit. But then, I don't like selling car's I wouldn't drive myself.

Love the color scheme on this car. The red pin striping/outlining looks really neat against the black. Can't say I've quite seen this combo before.
