we got he official word today. the east coast f-body nationals will be held on august 23, 2003 this coming year. once again at englishtown. since they locked in their event calendar earlier this year we can go forward better with our big plans that sort of fell apart last year. i am already in contact with the scca about runnign an autocross for us as well as getting back soem sponsors so that we can have goodie bags to hand otu at the gates again.
we will be sharing a few of the staging lanes with a corvette challenge, but tha tis only a few cars, so they won't really be in our way.
now we get to start beign serious, i have my final meeting with teh web designer this week adn i hope to have the site up and runnign by next weekend.
with the new web site comes some new possibilities to start growing het event.
one of the first thign si want to include is an event calendar taht will list all f-body related events, nto for general car shows, but events that will at least feature and individual class fro f-bodies.
also, anyone who has contacts at any companies tha may be interested in advertising opn teh sit eor sponsoring prizes or anything at teh event let me know. we woudl liek to use the web site to help develop a prize fund to help grow the show and attract more participants. we have soem contacts lined up already, but we are always looking for more.
i hope to have updates at least every week on teh event. stay tuned for more info and start tellin your friends

i was in touch with a the company that supplied the goodie bags to the east coast nats the first year and it looks liek all systems are a go to get them again
i do have a request for everyone. i need pics of cars!!!!! send them to my email: njspeeder@f-bodynationals.org or email a link where i can view and copy pics from. i will credit teh car owner for any pics tha ti use. please include the year and model of your car in teh mail so i cna get it right the first time. any pics used on teh site will be linked to your web site if you have one too. i need drag racing, autocross and car show pics, so send me any nice shot for consideration

i jsut got the confirmation on the goodie bags for every f-body that comes through the gates. the bags will actually be in my posession before x-mas. so i will have plenty of tiem to add some little things hehe (insert evil laugh)
also, i have been in contact with a few companies about being vendors/sponsors/ web site advertising and i have several interested parties. this means tha tthe prize packages adn prize fund will be started early this year
things are lookin great. i have another meeting with my web site guy this weekend and it looks liek that will be up very soon.

Starting to sound pretty good! I just hope it does not turn out like recent events. I believe it was two summers ago when i went and it ended early due to the lack of people. Not that big of a deal since i live 20min from the track. Hope goes all as planned. Keep us informed-Bryan

teh event will be a ton better this year. the first year, two years ago was mostly my fault. lack of experience prevented teh word from getting otu as much as it could have.
last year we had a date change that killed us. originally scheduled for a weekend that didnt' have anotehr f-body related event goin on with in a 8 hour drive, we got moved to a date that made us compete with super chevy only 1hr 15mins away
this year we have no such problems though. so expect teh glorious plans that we were working toward last year to coem true.
we have more irons in teh fire than i can even explain right now, just stay tuned and start telling your friends. where ever you live i promise it will be worht teh drive

hey gang,
we are gonna have a little get together for teh east caost nats next wednesday at teh hooters in benslaem pa( on street road). i have gotten together informally with a few guys in teh past that i know pretty well, but i would liek to open it up to get feedback from a larger crowd.
we are gonna meet december 18th around 7:30 so i can show everyone what is set in stone already and what we are workjing on still and to get some feedback about soem possible class rules.
i will have a few announcements and i wanna finalize the heads up class rules during this meeting.
everyone is encouraged to attend. the more feedback i get now the better this is gonan eb in august
