Tring to gauge interest in gettin like a lil show/meet up together for the CT thirdgen owners. Lately Ive been noticing more cleaner thirdgens in the state so I figured maybe we should try to get a lil show goin. You kno like compare eachothers rides and stuff. If theres any interest in this post up. If theres enough hopfully we can set somethin up before summer is over.

I would be interested but i would prefer sometime in late august so i can get my new damn fender on, and do some finishing touches, but ya definitly. I see you have the LS1 breaks...nice nice thats something i want to do in the future get some nice breaks behind my wheels.
I'd be interested, but my car has been off the jackstands in about 2 months now lol. It's getting closer. I should be set next weekend to put the wheels back on and be able to start her again.

This is cool, sounds like maybe we can get something goin. I was plannin for later in august but Id like to hear what all you guys think too. Maybe like a central spot in the state cause i kno theres some of us from all over.
matt
the pike would be cool, all meet up at bk before all the other cars get there, get some good spots on like a friday or sat night..wonder how many cars we could get, i might know another person who would go
bk would be cool, i think it would be awesome to go to the friday night in vernon near golf land! bunch of us park next to eachother then when the shows over grab a bite to eat at denny's right down the road. all cruise together and show up bet people would end up stopping at denny's to look at our cars. Depending on how many people we can get with 3rd gens! should make it either an every weekend thing or every other. Think it would be a great idea and have been wanting to do something like this for a long time! hey a meet at someones house would be cool with me too.. mr ac in enfield already said his place would be good. and still can go off somewhere down there to get some food or something. Whats a good day for everyone? and how many people do we have?! lets start planning and get it done.

also i know a few others that would probably come.. one has a 98 SS ls1 if 4th gen's are welcome unless you want it a stricktly 3rd gen which is perfectly fine with me =D

yeah definitly mayb go to golf land, dennys then the pike....might be a little much on gas so like once a month would be cool, we should make a list or something, i know another person who would probably go too.
I could probably talk my friend into bringing his 87 IROC to Golfland.. he's in Manchester anyway... again later is better for me. All my spare time ( and money ) is going into getting the car back on the road.
seems like we can have at least 4 people! when is good for everyone else to start? which friday? comming up is july 27th, aug 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th, 31st. I personally am not sure if i could make it on the 24th depends on when i get home
any of those dates are good with me my cars not perfect but i like where its at as of right now
ya same here, need to put in my door panels, but the outter window felts i ordered dont fit right...pretty pissed about that, so need to get them from a dealer now. And my f'd up pass fender, need to replace that. Then just a bunch of small things, like switchin the interior to black...
Im good to go when ever. I might as well get the car out and enjoy it, it spends way to much time in the garage. As for dates im going to be away the 24-26 of august. I kno tourville said the 24th was prolly no good for him so maybe we could do something before or after that date. I have two buddys with thirdgens that I can bring alone so I guess that gets us up to 6 now. This will be nice, you dont seen enough clean thirdgens anymore.
matt
all i have to say is mines not show quality but its a good 10 footer =D im one of those diy guys =D but am very happy with the way it looks for now and am willing to take it to shows just to have some fun. so how far is east haven from vernon camaro? i think we should all find a place to meet up and then drive to where ever we want to go!
so whos up for aug 3rd? or 10th? and where to meet up and start our little cruise.. have we decided on going to vernon car show then to denny's? or go to berlin turnpike at bk and then to (dont know anywhere to eat out there besides hooters cause im not out there much but wherever) or other options?
vernon is about 10-20 min from hartford depending on how fast you drive i guess would be the way to word it. i believe the zip is 06066 if you want to mapquest it... manchester is right on top of vernon and the zip is 06040 incase thats not the zip.. exit 64 on 84 east takes you right to where denny's is basicly
Guys, why not the GolfLand site? While I probably won't have my car legal yet I'd still like to drop by and see the local rep's. I'll bring the Nikon D70 for proof nice thirdgens in CT do exist! Manchester / Vernon is about 1 hour north from the "Havens".
golf land isnt bad its just kind of boring, i dunno it seemed like it to me, alot of older cars, but we could always go there then the pike since the shows over at 9. I have so many little things i need to do to the car...costs too much!
i think golf land sounds great.. i personally like that show a lot, and i would drive out to the pike with you after the show or something and AC why isnt your car legal? (sorry i dont know you or anything about your car yet)
Tourville, illegal because I have no catback. Local popo wouldn't like my supercharged 383 blowing around town with only hooker longtubes!! Hehe, I started it up for the first time in 3 years the other night @ 10PM. It was like IHRA / NHRA dragster loud!
sweet! ill give you 3$ for it! =D sound like a deal? ill then throw a catback system on it and sell it back to you for 10grand =D lol... well when are you going to put a catback on it? or is it for the drag strip? so have we decided on when this meet is going to be? and would 4th gens be welcome? i say lets try and get this thing soon!! like next week or the week after!
Tourville....almost. I'm in over 15k just in engine, tranny, rear end and blower The undercarriage of my car looks like damn scaffolding with all the red tubular steel from Spohn. Check my profile for the mods I've done.
Not to throw another wrench is this meet but I was told there's a BIG meet every Monday night at a place called Mark's in East Granby. It's on the net: http://www.markscruisenight.com/
im down, most likely, car isn't the way i want it, but hey will it ever be? But hopefully i can get my door panels in this week, still havent fixed the fender but w/e...where you thinking?
im cool with it, your from rhode island? kind of a far ride isnt it? so what time is good? we can meet at denny's then ride down the street together to golf land!
Not sure, I gotta see if i can get out at a decent time on friday, but mayb 730-8? It will give the people who live further away more time, just a thought
Well, I'm outta town this week on vacay so I'm out (not like I could drive my car anyway!). I'm fighting a no injector firing issue right now. I'll have to be there for the next time.

yeah, i didn't realize how far out you guys are. plus, i have plans now, so im out.
does not seem like we are getting very many to reply.. want to make a date further in aug? how about friday aug 20th? who can make it and who wont be able to?
