Hey guys I am about ready to finish the baby. I have about finally back from FL and taking care of my Gma. The car has been sitting almost 2 years but was started here and there. Not sure where I left off what I really need to do.

I think I need to do the timing, with No tab on block.... water pump pulley, Figure out belt sizes, Vacuum lines, Fuel sending unit,(fuel gauge reads full always)

I am wondering if there is anyone in the Ny Long Island area who would want to help out and come make some quick cash or barter for something. Would be nice to get a helping hand.

Any new Upgrades, options, Mods, Anything I should do, let me know I will take to it or look into it.

How are you going to set timing with no tab? You need to replace that.

If your a mechanic, you know what your doing sir, you dont need a timing tab to adjust timing sir. You just need a light.

I was trying to give you some advice, but if you are going to act like that, good luck finding anyone to help you with your project. Believe me, I won't post in your thread anymore.

you gave your advice, I gave you my answer, Not my fault you didnt like my asnwer sir.

You dont need a timing tab to do timing. I know what I am saying and I was told by many you dont need it.

So why get upset? Why get mad? Your reading a Post on the internet buddy, plus you dont know who I am.... So why jump?

Don't need a light, either... Hook up a vac gauge to manifold vacuum and advance the dizzy until vacuum maxes out. However, to do it right, you need a tab or pointer of some sort, which is why a lot of aftermarket dampers have the scale on the outer ring.
