I do. A set of Himalayas, 100lbs of sand in the back, and she does pretty good!

Re: Whos driving their third gen in the snow
Not me my third gen's been parked since Nov and I just parked my fourth gen convertible yesterday and pulled my truck out for the major snow that's coming to the area. When I was a teenager financially I had nothing else but my third gen to drive at the time but now I just have to much appreciation for them and that's my

X2 on the appreciation for our cars. However that's why I drive mine. It breaks my heart when I have to make my car sit. Her whole purpose is to drive, I'm not taking that away.

Mines put away, New York is the worst for cars with all the salt they spread. Even when it's not icy there dumping it on the roads!
We had some snow last week, saw a 4th gen that was t-boned on the thruway. Looked like he spun out in front of the other car.
Happy to let my car sit till spring.

I am brave, and handsome!
I get the salt though. My Camaro is my only car. They salt the roads here sometimes, but mostly use sand. That's hell on the paint job and undercarriage too. I just try and keep her washed. I will admit though, you get a lot of looks being the only goober driving around in a Camaro with 6 inches of snowpack on the roads!!!!!

I bet you get a lot of looks with such a sexy car in the snow haha ...people are probably like what is he thinking . The worst I've seen was a guy in his 69 mustang but that was Saturday when it snowed like 2 inches so it wasn't as bad

Re: Whos driving their third gen in the snow
I'm the original owner of my car. It's only been driven in the snow the first year I owned it. After that, I bought a cheap 4X4 truck for the winters, and hauling my jet skis. Had a truck ever since, and my 'verts pretty happy with that, lol.

I wouldn't in town. I tried that in my 455 powered first gen many years ago and it was a bad idea. But I learned from it. Only in open spaces. But I live in CA now so no real opportunity anyway.

Another winter driver here. Been through the last two winters with no issues but now a few pinholes are starting in the floor and spare tire well. They'll be fixed in the spring and the car will be driven through next winter as well.

Re: Whos driving their third gen in the snow
I'm paranoid about snow/salt. Mine has been in the garage since November as well. In OH, the roads get pot holes and the salt eats anything made of metal. My DD (G6 coupe) looks two toned with white salt from the windows down. lol. It's only it's second winter as well, so I cringe every time I see all the salt on her.
