Re: I am pised off.

i got some hedmans from summit a while back. they sent the wrong ones and i didn't notice until i went to put them on, sent them back and got the right ones. went to put those on and two bolt holes were milled too far off to fit. i was pretty hot that day too. i hope everything goes well for you.

If you get that pissed over $30, imagine spending $300 on a Cable X box, only to still have your speedo be dead.

Re: I am pised off.

wait, when did you get a sc?

and 30$ prolly just covers the fix, who knows what he paid for the pulley.

i have a right to complain, my fuel pump died on the way to get some leaks fixed, and now its running me around 800 extra to do the new fuel pump the proper way. darn 3rdgen is jinxing me cuz i wanted to have a pro work on it.

Re: I am pised off.

It not even a pulley, it is just a fat washer, and it was bout 80$ so far without fixing it, and I am not pissed about the cost I am pissed because I pulled front of the motor apart to install it the day after the GTG, and it has been sitting there with no work done to it since. Because I am waiting for a part that I bought 2 weeks ago and spent the extra for expedited freight. It was a late, and then it was wrong.
----------
That sucks Travis, and I bought the sn2000 from marc, it has been sitting on my kitchen table for like 6 months waiting for me to get all the stuff together to install it. Guess I missed one part, lol.

Re: I am pised off.

.....I have a fan sitting in my IROC to dry out the interior; can I pretend it's an SC and join the club???

This is like the "Rise of the Machines". I had just spent six months trying to get my Camaro to steer properly and it turned out that the big bad wolf race car suspension shop that bolted in the new MOOG steering components and swore for the past 1/2 year that everything was correct and now I'm starting to get all pissed off and jacked up on Dr. Pepper thinking of hitting something cause I don't want to remember the fricken frustration involved

(pauses: "Oh, Thanks mom for the pill")

Where was I? Oh yes, the shop reversed the inner tie rods at the centerlink.
Or how about the ignition glitch I've been attempting to track down for the past three years and just found that the O2 sensor wire connector is corroded and has been changing it's signal every time it bounces up against the engine block. (It's probably a Bosch unit).

Didn't we buy these Thumper's to drive? It's like spending major amounts of time guiding and encouraging a younger brother only to have the lil sh*^t turn around and kick us in the nuts while we're getting ready for the senior prom (don't ask me where I came up with that particular illistration).

(Hey Ma?! Can I have just one more??)

It's not like we're going to jump on these things like a prison cell roomey; why do they have to fight us so much; Geez, my stepsister didn't even put up this much of a fight........ Nitro-Nicky

Re: I am pised off.

Try rebuilding a hard to find parts 9 bolt and get it perfect... Used thread locker, bolts torqued to spec... Only to have a bolt still back out and chip my pinion gear... Now I need another set of gears... Try that.

Re: I am pised off.

That is the best thing bout owning my own business, beer at lunch.

And for the record, I don't blame you marc for any missing bits, you sold me this kit so cheap I could spend double what you charged me and still be money ahead. And you got the kit second hand so had no control over what was missing.

I was going to fix it myself, but read some horror stories about the pulleys being out of balance and the vibration cracking the crank, so I decided to get all 3 pulleys balanced.

I try to be ashamed, but the stuff just comes out. You should have seen me when I was a kid and my parents kept trying to take me to church..... (they were slow learners)! I used to have to sit on my hands and bite on a pencil between my teeth during the sermon.

It was a pretty strict religious cult setup and they didn't believe in Attention Deficit Hyperactivity; they were all convinced I was possesed with a demon (or multiple). Nitro-Nicky

Re: I am pised off.

I've heard those older SN2k units were only capable of low psi?

Either way it'll be nice when it is all said and done, good luck Ray Dirt

Yeah, they have some kind of weird ball drive setup that you can't spin too high.

Re: I am pised off.

If 10.5 psi on a 350 is low i can live with that, and i have a vr4 upgrade on order, it kicks out 1600cfm at 14psi (bout a year out though). Setup, cooling, and ball drive tention is VERRY cridical. Yea i have become a bit of a sn nerd.

(at 10.5psi, you are spinning the **** out of it and need to do some internal SC tuning) stock is about 8 psi

Re: I am pised off.

The best part is they can be torn down, all new drive components, and rebuilt for about $350, and in like 3 hours. The biggest problem is they were designed to be self contained, and it just doesn't work, it gets two hot and fries the ball drive. If you crank up the tension, stock is about 35lbs, it needs bout 50lbs, and Get a Big *** oil cooler you can rev them a lot higher, and I have the upgraded impeller witch helps as well.

It isn't a procharger, but I am saving a boat load of cash, and I like that it is silent at idle, and I like sleepers.

Also it has a 4.44 gearing, so the boost comes on really quick.

At least now I know that I wasn't the only one. Although I usually tend to anger and confuse people when I go off, so over the years i have learned some restraint. i just get so heated over things that aren't right.

I have been restraining from responding to this post because this type of thing has happened so much to me over the years, once I start going i will need to take some Benadryl and go to sleep just to calm down. It is things like this that have made tolls like my Rotozip and Dremel have become my most used tools in my tool box. Nothing ever just bolts on.
