my winter project :)
Well,
here's some pics of me tearing into my camaro. Hopefully, this will all be done by spring. What I plan to do:
Install all autometer guage cluster
Install 350/ turbo 350 as soon as i get them
Repaint entire engine bay(already started)
Repaint rear bumper
Tune my carb this time....and get gas mileage, not gallons per mile
Sell hooker shorties and y-pipe, and install long tubes and duals...
well....the list is actually a lot longer lol

what motor do i have for you? are you talking about that 350 bare block? i get people cunfused sometimes(i'm online too much). Probably just $50 for the block with main caps.
But i'm looking to get around $175 for the headers and Y-pipe....it like $380 new. Tell me what you think.

what r u doing with that nice iroc steering wheel that u replaced? How about a leather shift ****?My 85 will be reborn before too long. Its really in pretty good sape overall, still looks/runs/drives good.I jus need a few things.Anyone ever heard of RPO Z06?On mine its just before Z28.I know its odd, because I never seen/heard of it b-4.This car was customer ordered when new.Lots of goodies i.e.:Ls Conteur Seats,Rear wipe/wash,rear louvers,Lb9,too many to list. This cars RPO decodes as being blue/blue.I guess it became yellow when someone ordered one huh? Also its gone through 5 trans's (and again it needs another)3 rearends(Powertrax locker now, wonder how long the ring gear will last).Anyway, theres a rundown on my pride and joy.My other camaros are nice too,but dont run or turn heads like my 85yellowiroc-z!(all oiginal),Oh yea,no cat!!
Please help!!!Gary

well,
it's a 19 year old steering wheel. So the condition is how it looks in that picture. I really haven't looked at it in a while. I know that the center piece is shot, although I may have another one as well. I would probably want $15 for it with the center piece is i can find it. My garage is a mess right now.

well for real, i can use the LS1 in my truck!!! Has Nick touched it in a while? If you guys ever wanna come see my camaro and point and laugh let me know. lol.
I know a guy in Indiana that's running in the 10s on pump gas(daily driven) with the same 4.3L that is in my truck with a turbo, so who knows what's going to happen with that truck.

Hey denny,
i don't know I say let the woman speak, if she's giving me a LS1 i can't complain
But seriously, my camaro, nick's car and denny's car all look so happy being in the garage staying away from the other mean cars....they like being safe inside.
MAYBE it's because we're all to busy to finish them, or maybe because when I go into the garage after a long day I don't even want to touch it, but if i need a screwdriver I'll look at my car right?

sorry its been awhile, the LS1 plans are kinds gettin pushed back about a week, hes still not sure on a price hes lookin for around 4-5 grand for engine and trans, i think its auto and the ECM and wiring will all be with it. i still havent decided if im going to getit for myself or not, im kinda leaning towards not because i wouldent want to have to change everything in my car (mounts etc.) again in a few years when i finish my other motor. but if youre interested ill know by tuesday or so if hes gonna sell it and for how much. ill keep ya posted. any other questions email me at xxslayahxx at aol.com

hey,
thanks a lot David. I'll have some more pics in about a month or so when the weather here gets above freezing. I know Canada must be much colder than around here so I can't complain to much. Thanks again for all that non-a/c stuff....I'll be adding that to my winter project now.

It's -22F here right now. It's hard to work outside on your car when your tools freeze to your hands. Need to insulate my garage!
