OMG the unthinkable happened today :o)
Well almost finished wiring for my camaro and since no one was home at the time i figured what the hell i'll just turn on the pump and check for leaks in the garage....well needless to say i found a BUNCH. so after tightening all the AN fittings around the carb....i decided to put a little fuel into the motor....2 pumps of the gas pedal and i shut off the fuel pump. Decided to crank her over to see what happened....and right away it fired right up. So now i'm relieved i'm almost finished with this thing. Off to the garage to finish wiring up my dual fan relays and wire up the trans controller module. But that means tomorrow is break in the cam day with only long tube headers, S-bends, and a partial H-pipe for an exhuast.....should wake the neighbors around noon tomorrow. Figure the cops will show up around 12:30...

Tell me about it...A simple engine swap turned into a year and a half project thats still going. Hope to have it running next month. body and paint are gonna have to wait till later this year but at least it will finally be on the road . I say screw the neighbors fire it up, times waistin and the cruisin weather is here.

well i lied a little....
didn't break in the cam until 12:30....no cops this year at 1pm finally the neighbors didn't call on me.
although a bit of a problem area....i drained the oil and it had a green tint to it and was a little thin......wasn't coolant though and I'm happy about that. Maybe it was from the cam break in lube...??? that was a greyish color though.
well then i put my ground wire up in smoke when i tried to restart this thing after it's first oil change.......errrrr.....well tomorrow is another day of fun for re-wiring and new ground cables.
but it's about time to hear it fire up. just some tuning and timing issues to work out tomorrow and it'll be all good.
