i will be camping, 2 nights. no hookups needed, presuming there are restroom facilites and shower facilities on-site.

see what you can find first, and we'll go from there.

i have one confirmed person camping with me, i am currently unsure of anyone else, but i am not ruling out the possibility of having more people with me.

For all those interested in a cabin if it's cheaper than tenting, I can guarantee that tenting or, what ever, will definitly be cheaper than a cabin.
Also most campgrounds provide some sort of shower facility, and I have yet to find one that doesn't provide some sort of restrooms.

What I need to know is:
How many nights do you plan on staying?
Do you want or need hookups(ie:electric, water, sewer)?
Are you interested in a campsight or if available renting a cabin or trailer on sight?

staying 2 nights (friday saturday) and i won't be needing any hookups probably just one person.
not interested in a cabin, its' all camping for that weekend.

I'm not sure where the campsite is going to be yet. I was waiting a couple of weeks to get somewhat of an idea of how many sights we are going to need.
It looks like we are going to need about 50, maybe more. I have checked a couple of campgrounds, but getting that many sights for one group of people on one weekend seems to be tougher than expected.
I have checked a couple when I have a good idea as to places i will post it.
I am trying to keep it as close as possible to the fairgrounds though.
As for toilets and showers, everywhere I have talked to so far provides toilets and showers. So I don't think this will be a problem . If this changes though, I will post and let people know.

Just did a search of campgrounds in the area. Found four with in 25 miles of fairgrounds.

Rambling Pines Family Campground

Ole mink Farm

Crow's nest Campground

Maple Tree campground

Maybe some help from the local MD people in that area would be the best.

Yes i did get the PM.
I will be checking into those. The help is definitly appreciated.
I have been waiting a little while to really nail anything down, so I could get somewhat of an accurate count.
What I do know is judgeing from all the posts about camping we have about 25 people so far who want to camp.
So I'm only going to try and get 50 sites reserved at one place.
As it is, from the places that I talked too, 50 is alot.
So if there is anyone else who is interested in camping, please speak up.

Also, remember, most places allow up to 6 people per site with about 2 tents. So, that way people can share and even cut the costs some more if needed.

I think 50 sites is a little too much, maybe 30-35 max, as an estimate. Then again, better to have more than not enough.

Don't reserve me a camping spot. I was going to rent an RV, but the RV rental place will not let me tow my car with their motorhome. I am going to borrow my friends Navigator to tow car, they come with a class III hitch factory. U-haul charges $50.00/day for trailer. So now that is all worked out I will be making my payment via paypal and I can say I will definately be there. Dogs are gonna have to stay with their grandpa though.

I will be camping, along with 2 friends, we will have 1 or 2 tents, and a large trailer, electrical hookups would be nice but not a big deal if thier not available.

If you can get a firm price, location and reservation that would be nice.

I am gonna be camping. My girl and I, hookups optional, just need space for the GTA. Found that sleeping in the car was more comfortable then tents.

Sorry I havn't posted in a while.
Now that april is upon us, alot of the smaller campgrounds are starting to reopen. Some places shut down untill april.
We should be picking a campground in the next week or so. Mark when I have my suggestions i will e-mail them too you.
As soon as we have the final details we will post them here.

As for showers and restrooms, i don't see that being a problem. The campgrounds that I have talked too so far all have said they provide restrooms and showers.
