Finally 1/8 mile times.They sucked

It was 88 degrees and 80% humidity. Car bogged of the line every time.I was told it had a 2200 stall but it was only stalling at 1800.It sucked.
I did 7 runs and this was the best I could do on MT drag radials.

1.9862 60ft
8.6599 1/8 mile
81.11 1/8

Perfect traction but it would bogg every time.I would not stall past 1800 rpm.I ran a 1.9 on stock bfg with the stock L69. I need at least a 2500 true stall. I guess for my first time out I did ok but my brothers L98 vette was pulling 1.9 60ft with regular street tires.I bet if I change the stall I will get 2 tenths at least in my 60ft.What do you guys think. The MT's just bogged it down with such a low stall.

The temp and humidity really sucked.A new 06 gt ran 9.25 on drag radials.

You can never reach the converters rated stall speed while holding the brakes and bringing up the rpms. The only way to find out the true stall speed is by using a transbrake.

The rated stall speed is only an estimated. A converter's stall speed depends on how much torque is put into it. A 2200 converter that stalls at 1800 behind your engine may stall at 2500 behind a different engine.

I understand what your saying Stephen.I think I was just being a little over optimistic with that stall.Well one thing is for sure the MT's did their job.Car hooked great no spin at all.But you could feel the car struggle to jump out of the hole because it stuck so well. I feel better knowing its my first run at the track since the stock 305. I am looking at a 2800 edge or vigilante but that will take a little saving.

Transmission: Pro built 700R4
Axle/Gears: waiting on a new rear!!!!
Monte what is your engine setup and what was the track elevation?

Also if your car is bogging of the line something else might be wrong with your tune
carb or something.

Nothing is wrong with the motor or carb. Runs great. It is Just sluggish out of the hole. You can feel the car grip but the stall is just to low to get it out of the hole real quick. I can tell that the car needs more stall to launch.A 1.98 60ft with full susp. and MT drag radials. It should do better than that. It's the stall.Hope to change it soon. The stall is not matched for my motor thats all. I might put the 10 cont. converter from Pro-built back in.

try a bigger squirter in the carb to give it that extra shot of gas to get you out of the hole better. mine has fallen on its face before and that fixed it.
