Can I got mid 11's??
Hey guys I want to know what you think my combo is capable of. When it was a street car d/d with edelbrock tbi headers and a 2 1/4in y-pipe with single 2 1/2 inch exhaust, all stock suspention with bfg drag radials and a stock 750 double pumper it went 12.7 at 107mph with a 1.7 60foot. wow thats alot of sevens lol. anyways, now it is completly gutted, dash and all, custom wireing with everything on switches, lakewood drag struts with moroso trick springs, and no sway bar, and worn out v-6 rear springs, battery in truck, open hedman long tubes, 750 double pumper with proform main body, tremec tko-600 and the same 3.73 posi rear it had be4. Oh yea its a 355, 9.6 compression, vortec heads with the guides milled and better springs,xe274 cam, performer rpm intake and full msd. thanks

it was a t-5 before, never an automatic, you dont think going from a 2 1/4 single exhaust to open long tubes and full drag suspention and probably 300 pounds of weight gone will help? Everywhere I look 107mph seems to be around a 12.4 so I thought my exhaust was holding me back or somting... any idea?

Hey
Got a 383 Fastburn
Same tranny as you
Moser 9" Rear 389 gears
Coil Overs and Spohn Suspension
Can get in more detail if interested
Running low 12's aiming for 11's to
Best time is a 12.12 with bad tune on drag radials ( not slicks )

Sounds like your combo was REALLY kicking *** before, that exhaust was definetly holding you back. I think you'll do LOW 12s, high 11's. 7 tenths is a big stretch but with 300 pounds out of the car, a new suspension setup, and better flowing exhaust I could see you cutting that off. If you get some tuned length collectors in your long tubes you should probably be able to knock off another 10th or 2.

get it on slicks, and get that 60ft as far down as you can.. then maybe you'll go high 11's, more likely a low 12 though.. i doubt you have enough motor for mid 11's..
