In theory a combo like that should be able to run quite a bit faster than high 13's even on a street tire. Assuming you have 10:1 compression or better, a sticky tire, and some basic tuning abilities a combo like that could easily run in the 12's.

I'd say around 9.5:1 compression on street tires

That whole setup is mismatched. You have a moderately large cam, decent heads, a tiny exhaust and a even smaller carb.

Re: Plan on goin to the track next week...

I wanted 3'' exhaust but was told and told by numerous people (including the guy who put on my exhaust) that my setup would not produce enough back pressure to be best suitable for a 3" exhaust. I agree the carb is a bit small but I am currently not concerned with it in the end I would love to upgrade but its not a big deal to me as of right now. I think my setup is currently fine I've raced cars with 330hp out of a small v6, and of course I understand that there are many other factors that come into play but I won and I was told I'm running approx. 350-375hp which is what I had thought I had.

But if anyone else agrees that I should have gotten a 3" exhaust please let me know I could be wrong feedback is always appreciated but like I said I wanted to go that route but my exhaust guy who put it on for me said he wouldnt recommend it.

Remember...95% street car too

Hows this. Goto the dyno and run the car as is. Then, unbolt the exhaust and see how much you gain.

BTW, I think your car would make that power if the carb could throw that much air and the exhaust choking it.

In a prefict world 2 1/2'' pipe can flow 285 hp and 3'' pipe can flow 415 hp these are insid dia and if you have duals X 2 on the hp #s This is what I have read.

i am pretty sure as of right now my car could make that kind of power, and with a bigger carb I can only expect more.

Ross, so do you feel that my car is better off with 3' than 2.5? Also, I am running duals but it is not x pipe.
