88 ile camaro

Hey guys i came across a factory built racecar at least that wat i was told it was it has 20 thous miles, its been in a barn for about ten years i was told it was a factory built production car buy the seller but he didnt know anything about the car, he told me the driver pasted away at an event. i ran the car one time at an autox, on our site i was told this might be a collector item so i do want to race a collector car, any help that i can get to know for sure would be great thank

Does it have a logbook?

20K miles is kinda of high for a "factory built racecar," especially one that hasn't been raced in 10 years. Or did you mean "2 thous miles"?

You might try posting in the History/Restoration section. Here's a good thread on '88 1LE history.

Where are you located? If its a Players Challenge car from Canada you have to keep in mind they drove from track to track if I'm not mistaken. Could account for the high mileage. Any documents or papers come with it?
